This is the adapter to plug into the OG switch so you can use it like the Wii-U gamepad, but paired to the Switch-2 "Dock". The Switch-2 will have that hardware built-in so it won't need an adapter.
That's what im hoping for. If you can use the switch separate from the dock, like a Wii U gamepad, then we can get some wii u-like games as well as DS games.

I've been saying this was going to be a VR-supporting console for several months now. I'm still there. We have the rumored mo-cap device, now we have this device. That plus the contact-sensitive thumb sticks, which are a already a feature of VR rigs. And of course, the Joy-Cons are just perfect for VR. But this isn't just about VR. I think that the Switch 2 will support remote docking (though a bit of an oxymoron) as some people have suggested, allowing for the use of the console as a second screen to the TV. This combined with any VR goggle setup will allow the Switch 2 to be the first Nintendo console to support games from the NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, Wii U, Switch, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, and even Virtual Boy systems. Nintendo will be able to bring any of its games ever to the new console, in their original experiences or updated, with the only caveat being the 3D of the 3DS. But even that might be possible with a 3D TV.

Something like the new techno device ( controller has all the gpu and power and seperate display on glasses... ) but with switch 2... You'd have 4 pcs in total... 2 joycons... 1 main switch 2 body... 1 AR/Mixed reality Headset (sold separately so that nintendo earns more and joing the VR scene too)...

Sunbro know I've been saying dual screen is coming back since the oled was a switch pro and before the switch 2 was the switch pro..... I been telling u out here, the next gen is gonna have a wiimote style remote screen that my guess is gonna be like it's own nintendo social media hub. That's why the USB is on the top of the device lol cuz the console charges upside down in the cradle to be able to charge the new joycon and the secondary screen at the same time. To be honest that just made me think they are going to name it what I originally thought the next gen system name would be.....FLIPswitch....and I might have come up w that before vid. Let‘s be real, how many people actually take their Switch outside. It’s just not handy enough to carry it around and the Switch 2 is going to be even bigger and probably heavier too. A 3DS was so easy to carry around, it was light, you didn’t need an extra case for it and its battery lasted like forever while in streetpass mode (or whatever you call that)

My long shot hope is to get an attachable second screen with DS/3DS cartridge slot. Nintendo can then add a new catalog to the virtual console.

Let‘s be real, how many people actually take their Switch outside. It’s just not handy enough to carry it around and the Switch 2 is going to be even bigger and probably heavier too. A 3DS was so easy to carry around, it was light, you didn’t need an extra case for it and its battery lasted like forever while in streetpass mode (or whatever you call that)
@@taki7546 I’ve seen a ton of people play their switch in public. I personally don’t think there’s any reason why the switch 2 can’t have it. We already know that the battery will be much better.
