Repo rate to be kept unchanged at 6.5% : RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das

The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee has decided to keep the benchmark interest rate or repo rate unchanged at 6.5 percent for the fourth consecutive time, RBI governor Shaktikanta Das announced Friday. 'The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decided unanimously to keep the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.5%. Consequently, the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rate remains at 6.25% and the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 6.75%,' said RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das in a virtual address.
