I did have to adjust the cylinder to stronger after about a year. It's been nearly 2 years and it's still going strong for me. Not sure why yours is having trouble.
It's the springs. After watching the video myself, I noticed it too. I took some garage door lubricant and sprayed the springs and moving points. After a couple days of "breaking in" it's pretty silent now.
After about 4 months, the gate does not close on its own...trying adjusting the cylinder to the strongest setting but still not self-closing

Is that noise opening and closing the spring in the closer or your hinges? It seems loud.

Yes, there is slight tension when opening the door. But it's not heavy at all.
Yes, a lot of tension. I had to return it because my wife (who is admittedly a small woman) had a lot of difficulty pushing the gate open.
