    “CL” stands for “CicLo”. (Cycle)
Great “how to” on cleaning - like the tip on wiggling the portafilter to irrigate the group head gasket.
I also agree less solution is better 1/4 tsp works well and also pre-cleaning by removing group head screen and cleaning that first prior to running the cleaning cycles

Thanks, just what I was looking for, particularly how often to do it.

I just did this today, before watching the vid... My regime is when my rechargeable scales (Timemore) show a low battery then it's time for a backflush. Must admit I somehow misread the instructions and left the rubber gasket in there for the 2nd CL2 thing. Have underlined that bit in the manual now ;)

Nice video.. what about descaling the rancilio silvia pro? Do you need to clean out both tanks? Since there's a brew, and steam broiler? More info is needed!

Will Pro X be the same for backflushing? How much of the cleaning tablet (that comes with the machine) shall I use? 1/4 to 1/2?

Your temp reads 202. My factory setting is 93. Is it necessary to change the temperature before backflushing?

His temperature is set in Fahrenheit and yours in Celsius degrees!

Descaling Dual Boilers at home is generally not recommended. However, the “drain the boilers” functions in the PID actually make it possible and fairly easy for the Silvia Pro/Pro X.
      1. Drain the boilers
      2. Fill the tank with Descaling solution
      3. Turn on the machine and let the boilers fill
      4. Drain the boilers again after sitting for a while (15-30 minutes)
      5. Repeat fill/drain boilers until you’ve used all your descaling solution
      6. Drain the boilers and refill with regular water
      7. Drain the boilers AGAIN and refill with water again. This second refill flushed out any remaining descaling solution that was in the boilers (which you hopefully don’t want to drink).
      8. Done
