Mother nature is beautiful and has a lot of adventures to behold. I'm not a diver either. I have been binge watching mountaineering videos for ages. K2/Everest/Mont Blanc e.tc. It's all super fascinating and beautiful. Then I came across this channel and let's say that I am sold. Who would've known that we have been walking the earth looking up thinking what mysteries lies above the clouds when we could in fact in that time be walking over a world wonder scale adventure such as this cave.
And we know more about other planets than we do about our own oceans. Makes me wanna get a diving certificate ASAP.
With that being said, there are few things on this planet I respect more than water. I admire the people who put the effort and time in to explore all of this so I can get a taste of it myself through the comfort of my television.

Well said. They have inspired me to get certified in the future. I hope to also dive with these great people. I would love for them to never have to work a day in their life and just teach for a living. I'm sure they are on the way or there but I support the octopus and super Gus. 🙏 Also cave certified but that takes a few dives so I'll start with open ...

Woody, I remember diving this room with Brian a few years ago. I also had tears of amazement. Brian and I were both on side mount and I didn’t want to exhale for fear of disturbing the decorations. They say that diving the nest is the mt. Everest of cave diving. I disagree. Diving these caves in Abaco with Brian is the pinnacle of cave diving!

"we didn't have the technology to film this cave 4 years ago" this alone is an amazing statement. Imagine you make it all the way back in the cave, always mindful of your trim and buoyancy and constantly paranoid that you are going to bump something. Add an imax camera to that situation.... I have incredible respect for everyone involved in the endeavor of filming this cave. What an honor it would be to capture and bring footage like this to those who do not have the ability or skill, etc, to be able see it for themselves.

Nothing to this extent but I somewhat know the feeling of being somewhere super cool not everyone has been. I’m laying out plans for a path to this on the sidewinder and appreciate you guys starting to work with me on that component of the journey. It’s beautiful on my iPad, I’m sure it’s incredible on IMAX… but in person. The silence, the weightlessness, the peace, and the full view. It just sounds beyond incredible. Beyond words.

I commend you for your courage and quest for knowledge, mastery and adventure. Thank you for sharing so earnestly - of course they make it look sooo easy, but that is far from the truth. I've never done a cave dive, well not a deep cave dive and I would never have know all the things you have to plan for and take into consideration just to do some aspects of cave diving. It's a privilege to at least experience it in a video, since seeing it in person is such an unlikely possibility.

Kinda reminds me of mountaineering, as a mountaineer cave diving has me hooked. You cave divers are so methodical and disciplined. My sport of mountaineering could take a hint from cave divers. More training, more SOP, and more caution. Cheers!

Having been to a few dry caves and mines I can say that no matter how great or mundane a photo looks traversing one is absolutely surreal. It's like being on a movie set.
Even if I had the money to become a diver and beginner cave certified I would never have the nuts to go inside this for fear of ruining it.

Really hoping they do more showings of Ancient Caves. Would love to catch a viewing of it in a dome IMAX.
If not, well then time to get more training and get to the point of seeing it for myself. xD

@@Gaandichokri They have a Facebook page that seems to say that the showing in Chattanooga on April 23rd -> 25th was a tester to see if a longer showing schedule would be a good idea.
Imma keep an eye on the Facebook and drive to a imax dome that's playing it, assuming the tester went well and they decide to do more runs.
The footage looks mind blowing and well worth a decent drive.
I'll link the Facebook group in-case you are interested in keeping an eye on it.
