    There is one golden rule that applies to all video games: don’t die.
    From the filthy casual to the seasoned pro -- everybody knows the importance of staying alive.
    But what if there was an exception to the rule? What if it was possible to die over and over again and still come out on top?
    Well, that’s a concept upon which Simon “thebausffs" Hofverberg has built his entire League of Legends streaming career.
    You see, for thebaus, not all deaths are bad. In fact, for him, a good death is actually his most powerful weapon.
    Special thanks to theBausffs for taking the time to talk to us, you can find him here!: / thebausffs

    His tempo management is extraordinary. He could go 4 deaths more against his lane opponents yet he would still be ahead of gold and cs against that opponent. Banning someone for abusing a game mechanic is the epitome of “hate the game, not the player”

    • @biacsviktor3466

      It was an automatic ban, which would be 99% deserved unless you play Sion, and even then, it's hard to tell if you really are just feeding or not. Nobody will actually sit down and watch all your Sion games. It's an exception in the game's mechanics that generates false positives and needs to be reviewed.

    It's just weird to me people even try to consider this intentionally feeding, he literally focuses farming minions and objectives over everything else on the map. This weird trend of having to go 10/0 to make an impact on the game has to go. The ONLY way to win a game is the destroy the enemy's structures, whether you have 0 or 30 kills is completely irrelevant.

    • @guifdcanalli
      @guifdcanalli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      also, the more you die the less you have value over kill

    • @PANICWORKS
      @PANICWORKS 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      This is the one thing I love about the offlane position in dota (and to an extent soft support), sometimes "feeding" (or really just dying) is a play in and of itself to make space around the map while putting pressure on objectives. You force rotations for your low value ass (or if you're a tanky offlaner your unkillable ass) while your other teammates are free to do as they want with the pressure off of them. You may be down 10 deaths but you've taken objectives and wasted enough time from the enemy team for your carry to do the carrying. It's like the meme from Thor, you can't kill them, but he can.

    WP to Sion for playing safe during the laning phase, minimizing deaths, and letting some cs go, but now he's scaled and working with his team to win the game

    That is the main problem of games like this, most of the people are being what we call "Meta Slaves", I have done this int strategy a lot and my recent on was 20 deaths on sion and still managed to win the game and my teammate did not trust me for 20 minutes not until I started to demolish the whole base in 30 minutes and managed to end the game at 50 mins cuz it is low elo, another thing I wanted to point out is if you saw Happy Chimes YT channel, there are a lot of people that are high elo that does not depend on the meta like a girl who is a tank veigar main, some guy who plays AP rengar and other "weird" stuff that other player might think of but it actually worked, you just gotta explore the game

    “Dirty tricks?” Nah man that’s using game mechanics. You win the game by destroying the enemy nexus. That has never changed.

    Sure , he is intelligent and openminded enough to realize that dying doesn't necessarily equal a bad trade of resources or structures. BUT there are countless times he pops of in teamfights or just splitpushes without dying. Also WHERE IS THE BAUS SPECIAL MENTION? LIKE HELLO ?

    League of legends and moba's in general are not balanced around indefinite pushing. They have countermeasures against constant pushing, (like in league of legends, the minions can meet at the perfect spot for the enemy team to flank you) but not indefinite pushing. So a long as your ally minions are the ones pushing, you're winning.
    If you're about to die, try and damage and kill the enemy minion wave, as even if you're dead, nobody before 20 minutes can tank enough tower damage and deal enough damage to take a tower above even 30% HP.
    Another thing is that if you die once, you're worth 300 gold.
    However, a second time and now you're worth 279. And this keeps going lower and lower, not until 0 but definitely lower than the krugs camp which is 131 gold. So as long as you keep killing the enemy minions before you die, yes the enemy will have gold, but soon, they won't, and you'll actually be a "pest" as they describe the Sion playstyle because you're not worth much of anything, but also applying so much pressure, and forcing them to respond. Like, imagine if every 60 seconds, there was a rift herald that spawns and runs at your towers, and when you kill it, you only get 150 gold. It would be so annoying, yet something you can't ignore, and then sometimes, more often than not, this rift herald solo kills your adc and sometimes nearly 2v1's the mid and jungler, who are supposed to be your stronger of your allies.

    tbh i think it's purely the pressure that nets him wins. he gets more gold than the enemy does in a kill and then demolishes towers late game. he can potentially do that without dying with a better champion but i cant think of a higher tower damage than sion

    I'm sure every league of legends player in existence dislikes the feeling of losing games, especially when it's caused, even if only partially, by a teammate.
    But how can you hate a guy like this? Seriously, how? Guy is not only good at the game, is in the top bracket of players, but also truly enjoys the game, even at the bitter parts like being dead and being put on temporary spectator mode. Just seeing how he plays the game makes me truly despise myself for playing it 'normally' like I have the past few years.

    Tbh dieing is important in a few other games, the trick is dieing for the right reasons, for example in overwatch if the main tank sees an opening, capitalises, turns 6, his dps kill the people looking at him but he dies it's worth as that's a won fight

    Not only a matter of having created his own playstyle
    This dude HAS to be seriously good at this game, he understands it incredibly well, there is no way you can feed your ass off and still come out on top of your lane opponent (gold-wise) unless you understand the game very well
    Unironically, we have to thank the fact that he loves playing Sion, and not some meta-broken champ like Yone, because should he ever get good at Yone 1/10th of how much he's good at Sion, there'd be no stopping him xD

    Im imagining how would they reqct if they found out that in lol ripoff game mlbb, there is once a feeding meta, basically if this chara died it can still wonder the map and can be used to spectate the enemy team, providing the team with vision and when it was alive, it can be an annoyance to the enemy jungler making the enemy farm delayed. Now you might think that if you get killed over time you would get a bounty so its kind of pointless but in this time, when you keep on dying, your bounty golld will decrease untill they just get none to that chara.
