I found mine in excellent condition. A 2005 green and 3,000 miles on it. Great condition. Price was wonderful. I thought going from a 1000cc to a 500cc would be an issue only I fell in love with my ninja. Great commuters.
This is going to be my first bike in about a month I picked it up for 400$ cause it was just it’s frame it’s an 06 with 4K miles and a muzzy exhaust we are literally just waiting for a single part a smoke windscreen then I’ll be able to ride
@@rfbblitz yeah I was amazed as well I realized I explained it terribly when I said just it’s frame I meant there was an entire bike but nothing was attached it was all parts it was so cheap because it tends to be hard to find mechanics for carburetor bikes fortunately for me I live next door to one (it’s taken about a year)
Something small like this doesn't really affect the A/F ratio enough to really care. But it is "slightly" leaner and pops more. Removing like 2ft of exhaust and running straight header would cause issues though 👍
Aside from looking ghetto AF that mode is the least of the issues with the bike, if anything shows up it's cuz it's old not the (leaner exhaust) (this is terrible advice 😂)
@rfbblitz why? My bike is about to hit 20,000 miles on it. I thought to sell it? Still is a great motorcycle though. Why did you sell? My starter is also going out. Aftermarket parts took a min. To find that weren't cheap
I loved that bike lol, but you're right, parts are harder to come by and I also moved so there wasn't much point to bring it with me vs buying another one lol.
Sounds a lot better after. I also love the white wheels..such a clean, retro look.
thankss!!!

Just got my 2006 500r and I’m in love!
Sounds like you may need to adjust your throttle screw on the carb. I have the same bike
What will the throttle scew on the carb do?
The best first bike ever!
I have 2, the Yellow (2007) and black one (2009). I love the Ninja 500. Them white rims make bike look 🔥🔥🔥
dope bro!
Awesome vid love these bikes might get mine today
Mine is a 96 old but good, working on a street fighter build
I’m making just about the same switch. Trying to sell my KPM200 and going to check out an 04 ninja 500r in a couple days.

does it run too lean after wards. like did it cause any problems
