Wouldn't say underrated, but definitely agree that most people don't realize just how many hit songs he's pinned. More than Prince. Even more than Rod Temperton :-) He's actually the most successful (meaning # of hits) songwriter of the last 35 years!
@Aaaal David Foster isn't even close. Babyface has written and produced over 26 number-one R&B hits throughout his career, and has won 11 Grammy Awards. That's not even counting the songs that didn't reach #1 :-)
