Not horribly expensive but the labor costs still suck, because the clutch is between the engine and trans and hard to get to. Note: 1.yes I did use tire and tyre because they are both right, deal with it. 2.Yes the corvette is transaxle, meaning the transmission is at the back, there is a torque tube between engine and trans instead of bolting them straight to each other.
