@@TheNinjazeke when you do a burnout you spin the tires while lightly holding the brake in order to keep the car from moving foreward (yes that is bad for the rear brakes). He pressed the brakes to hard, (and possibly left traction control on), which caused the clutch to slip (as the brakes prevent the wheels from spinning), and burned up the clutch instead of the tyres. Not horribly expensive but the labor costs still suck, because the clutch is between the engine and trans and hard to get to.
Note: 1.yes I did use tire and tyre because they are both right, deal with it.
2.Yes the corvette is transaxle, meaning the transmission is at the back, there is a torque tube between engine and trans instead of bolting them straight to each other.
