In China : No labor union protest employee/labour's rights, few annual leave, no law-limited working hours, poor social welfare and security system, all these behind high buildings and "beautiful" infrastructure. People in China can live minimun for their " Big country", they don't mind thier working time, thier retire and most of people living far away from thier child just for earning money.Pollutions, Cancer villages, chemical foods and products are dangerous to health. Why westen won't win because it's impossible for westen to have low level life style for achieving this. Would you like to have 500 dollars of salary to be a construction worker and working for 6 days/ 9 hours per day? I'm asian and I prefer to live in France, I love my life in France and we are protected by law, good welfare and social security, we have 5 weeks of annual leave( 2 more weeks special leave in my company), good salary and good living environment. This is real side haha. I don't admit China at all.

During the last 3 years, I drove travelling in the three south west provinces Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and frequently passed the video showing areas. The most amusing story of my travel is that on the long bridge highway very highly elevated above the mountains and clouds, a truck driver stopped on the road and couldn't go further anymore because the fear of height. He called from his mobile phone the road rescue team to take him out and to drive away the truck in his place.

China is becoming the new superpower because massive investments from western capitalists gave modern infrastructures to an underdevelopped country. Capital and technology have been flowing constantly for decades in the country at a much greater rate than into older western countries.
China recently reached the late stage of capitalism, a stage where monopoly capitalism is assisted by strong intervention from the state. This makes the country much more competitive than older capitalist countries.
While China is a capitalist country, the paradox is that late stage capitalism also prepares the birth of socialism, that is currently growing in it's belly.
Economic planning is more efficient than «free market» anarchy. This is why every mega corporation plans production (for the benefits of the shareholders).
But real socialism is only possible when it's being fed with real democracy (worker control). A centralized bureaucracy cannot plan correctly the economy, which is what mostly led to the downfall of the soviet union.
This will be the next step for the chinese people. Of course the ruling class does not want that...
This will only become more clearer while humanity realizes the need to replace capitalism with socialism organized by and for the masses.

Majority of those mega infrastructure are not sustainable. Their high speed train network for example have an annual lost of hundreds of billions and I believe very soon they will run out of funding to operate.
