    its a nice tutorial,but ballast factor is not considered here.
    How to import heavy IFC file to dialux evo.The software is showing crash report on importing IFC file (around 90 MB Size)

    Hi Nelca,
    Hoping you can help, I'm trying to create a room inside a room with Dialux 4. I would like to just do basic dimensions LxBxH to begin with and then build rooms inside and as move along. I was hoping to be able to create rooms and corridors etc so that i may work out emergency lighting inside these rooms and corridors. Is this something that can be done without full building drawings. many thanks A

    What about the ballast factor? Have you not considered it, since the lamp will not work 100% (full lumen output) with the emergency batteries.

      Dear Leo, Yes. You may consider that one as well. What we did here is we use the luminaire lumen output in the emergency version of the fitting. Since we are doing it manually, you can also add that one in your calculation.

      Hi kabayan Nelca...What you have used in your calculation is still the normal lumen output of a single lamp (1200 lumens). When a lamp is working on emergency mode (using batteries as power source) the lumen output of the lamp is far less than 1200 lumens., therefore a ballast lumen factor must be applied, meaning, multiply 1200 by a factor less than unity (say 0.3) for 14W T5 = 360 lumens. Use this value in the calculation to get the realistic lux level result.

      Thank you Leo. I also founded Emergency lighting manufacturer in Poland, that declares emergency light outputs for different lamps. You can find it in en.tmtechnologie.pl/products/components/vip-pro datasheet. And you will found that for example T8 58W output only 8%, for T8 36W - 14% and T5 14W - 25%. These values will be different for another ballasts (standard, ...). So I think in that project Nelca have to write value not 1200 Lm, but 300 Lm (if EM-driver PRO version) and only 216 Lm (if EM-driver STandard version).
      For Open AREA's standard EN 1838 says that the horizontal illuminance shall be not less than 0,5 lx at the floor level of the empty core area which excludes a border of 0,5 m wide of the perimeter of the area. Also The diversity min/max shall not be less than 1:40.
      Thank you Nelca for great video, but values have to be different. :) Have a good day :)

      Hi Ramunas, Thank you for your comments. I think I need to create a new video to replace this one. It seems I made a lot of error in showing this video. No worries, I will update this video so the viewers will not get confuse and make mistakes.
      thanks a lot!
      regards,
      Nelca-

      Do we need to apply ballast factor for LED lumeneries

    Why we take reflectance factor to all zero...(please describe in brief)...

    Miss Nelca, i have a question, how to make the detail of the false ceiling?

    • @NelcaRoco
      @NelcaRoco  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      how detail? cove light?

    • @AlberthNoa
      @AlberthNoa 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      False ceiling seems to have texture with squares of 0.60x0.60m

    • @NelcaRoco
      @NelcaRoco  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes. its just a texture.

    You are a bit mistaken in the right requirement of Emergency lighting ..
    Its 1 Candela which is equal to 10.8 lux on escape routes ..
    Thanks ...

      Kindly read the actual specification mentioned in UAE FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY CODE OF CIVIL DEFENCE - Chapter 6 _ 4.2
      ( Emergency lighting facilities shall be arranged to provide initial illumination that is not less than an average of 1 foot-candela ( 10.8 lux ) and , at any point, not less than 0.1 ft-candela ( 1.1 lux ), measuring along the path of egress at floor level )
      You have mentioned 1 lux = 10.8 candela
      Keep the good work ..
      Bravo
