    Very well done! Very easy to follow step by step. It would be great if you could show the same workflow that you did for USB or wifi with a BLE DEVICE LIKE adafruit ble SHIELD. Since Blynk requires connection through a cloud or local server ,it's not clear how a ble point to point (iPhone to uno/ble sheild) would utilize a server to accomplish push notifications ...
    Keep up the good work This is an impressive tool and you are helping the community greatly through education !

    • @blynk
      @blynk  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Notifications are not supported with BLE of course, due to the reasons you described. You would need some sort of gateway, which will collect data from your BLE devices and send it through a gateway which is connected to the internet

    Hi Anna, I enjoyed very much your very interesting presentation about blynk until you started talking about "terminal". As other people on this side I was stuck at this point, because it's about iPhone and many from us have Android phones and terminal does not work as you explaned. Sorry to say but I did not find any info, how to go further. So my project failed, so Blynk UNO+USB does not work.

    For somebody has questions on WINDOWS 10:
    1. terminal address you have downloaded to Arduino: C:\Users\xxx\OneDrive\Documents\Arduino\libraries\Blynk\scripts
    Find the" blynk-ser "icon, then right-click it, edit it, then change the proper COMM port to your Arduino's port !!!
    2. Double click the blynk-ser icon to make it connect to your cellphone
    ps: don't run "cmd" command to open the window, it doesn't work.

    For Windows users I believe the parts about socat and installing it via brew are unnecessary. Instead of running blynk-ser.sh you run blynk-ser.bat which uses com2tcp instead of socat (and is included in the dir). Unfortunately, I get stuck in that script with "DSR is OFF". Not sure how to fix that.

    • @Octopossible
      @Octopossible 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah okay. leave the command prompt open. That is the last line of the output it is not an error. The app works. But I misunderstood. I want to plug my android directly in to my arduino with an OTG adapter. This ain't the code I want :( lol. Works great though.

    • @Octopossible
      @Octopossible 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it could be made clearer that what Blynk does is it allows you to use an Android device to send signals through the internet, that your PC then picks up (via the blynk-ser script) and transmits to your circuit board via a USB cable.

      I have the same problem. Did you find an answer yet? Always a burden to get a link saying find it yourself. Maybe she knows the answer but is tired of answering noob questions. But shouldn't a tutorial try to bring people into some new topics? Since more people seem to struggle on the last step (!!!) Maybe she would not loose anything telling people the answer.

      1. When you work with hardware - there are 1 gazillion moving points, and anything can go wrong. This is why we ask to post to forum and provide details like: OS, device, hardware model, sketch you are using and so and so. We don't even know where to start with your issue... Maybe it's a broken cable, who knows?
      2. It's physically impossible to answer everyone on every single channel (youtube, fb, email, insta, etc). This is why we kindly ask to post to forum, where:
      - your question will be answered much quicker
      - your question and answers will remain there for others experiencing same issue or having question
      - it's more convenient to post detils like code snippets, etc.
      Thanks for understanding.

      blynk thank you for your answer.
      It bothers me that I received an answer from your Pavel saying exactly the same. Problem is there is no answer on that and i still don’t get it to work.
      Yes. I’m a noob. But don’t you want people to come joining you? Read the comments! I’m not the only one. You might consider helping. And posting a link where there’s no help available is if no help.
      Maybe you want to make a sticky in your forum gathering what is known to solve the issue.
      If Blynk is so easy why can’t I get it to work?

    If you close your Command prompt you loose your Connection.
    So make a batch file on desktop.
    1. Right click and select "New Text Document" from the drop down menu.
    2. Add these two lines:
    CD C:\Users\david\Documents\Arduino\libraries\Blynk\scripts
    blynk-ser.bat -c COM5
    3. Rename the file to "Arduino USB to Internet Connection.bat"
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Now just double click that when you need your Internet connection.
    Change COM5 to your COM Port
    Change david to your computer name

      Use the search bar and look for "Command Prompt". Serial ports on windows have completely different naming conventions. It'll be COM4 or something like that.
