a note, Riot Forge was meant as a side project to branch out and test with some indie genre to see if they're successful. Basically they're 15-20$ fully finished indie games with League's lore. Since the project was a success, they wanted to shut down Riot Forge and do everything in house, basically you'll know them under the name "Riot Games" and not "Riot Forge". Same goes with Legends of Ruinterra, they tested the pvp card based game genre, didn't do as well so hey scaled down the project, relying on the revenue of their other title to support LoR long term.

a note, Riot Forge was meant as a side project to branch out and test with some indie genre to see if they're successful. Basically they're 15-20$ fully finished indie games with League's lore. Since the project was a success, they wanted to shut down Riot Forge and do everything in house, basically you'll know them under the name "Riot Games" and not "Riot Forge". Same goes with Legends of Ruinterra, they tested the pvp card based game genre, didn't do as well so hey scaled down the project, relying on the revenue of their other title to support LoR long term.
