A suggestion: you can cut open windows in the back setting for that stone without a flat back- like you see with some high quality (usually very old) Indian jewelry.
@@hotrod4d I must correct myself... perhaps what I'm thinking came from another culture, as a good portion of old and good quality Indian jewelery is often enamel-backed with filigree...
@@deemushroomguy Native American jewelry and a lot of older European pieces have cutouts on the back. I'm not as familiar with stuff from India but it's usually ornate, like you say
