Perfect Los Angeles Date/Hangout Idea: Biking the Marvin Braude Bike Trail + Restaurant

- Hi everyone! In today's video, I show you an awesome and free thing to do in los angeles which is perfect as a hangout/date activity: riding a bike and visiting the Marvin Braude Trail. For those who don't know, the Marvin Braude Bike Trail is a 22 mile long coastal paved trail that stretches from Torrance all the way to Pacific Palisades. This trail is also known as "The Strand" in some parts of the coast. On the trail, you will also hit Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Ray, Dockweiler Beach, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and finally Redondo Beach, which as I show in this video, also contains a great restaurant by the name of Quality Seafood.This trail is seriously awesome since it's a free way to enjoy our awesome Los Angeles and South Bay beaches. Again, there is not that many free things to do in Los Angeles, but this is one of them, and it's also a quarantine safe thing to do. I hope you check it out, and I also hope you check out Quality Seafood at the Redondo Beach Pier for some seriously amazing food.

This bike path is one of the best things about Los Angeles

Born and raised in la and still here. I have been up and down this trail many times. And I still do too this day. It's stunning.
Go to Tony’s next time for a drink and it has a beautiful view at sunset.
I grew up in Redondo and riding on the strand on the weekends so it was neat to see you highlight Quality Seafood at the pier. The Redondo pier is definitely more rustic and less bougie than Hermosa or Manhattan but I’m glad folks can appreciate it.

i always start from esplanade redondo beach all the way to will roger state beach what a fun route to ride back and forth 👍
I Love this ride and riding through Redondo I am on the east side so I don't get out there as much as I should

In Santa Clarita there is a lot of bike paths my favorite place to ride my bike in iron horse trailhead

If youre a tourist, you can go to the bike shop at Hermosa Beach and rent a bike for about 30 bucks; you can keep the bike all day. The restaurant at the Manhattan Beach pier is called Brew Co. They have excellent burgers. I hope it is still open.

Love that bike path! I can save you $3.00 on parking. There is a free lot at dock 52 in Marina del Rey on Fiji Way. It’s just before Fisherman’s Village.

I' m with you , quality seafood is great , but for the trail ,isn't a bike trail , it is a share trail ,You have to share with , , walkers ,, roller bladers . . runners . . etc . well very los angeles .YEAH ! ! stop on rededondo beach pier
Pacific palisades has plenty of street parking on the cross road to PCH.
Great Video David. I just bought a road bike last weekend and doing research where the best place to ride for a newbies like me. I think this fits very well.

@@DavidDantas yes i did. Im riding every weekend. I struggled the first 2 days. But Now i can do 2 round trips from Dockweiler to Torrance.
Good video i wish you would have shown the connections between the cities.
I did that Trail right after College, parts of the Trail by South Bay is on the Busy Streets with fast cars(so be careful).
I Don't think David mention it, but once you ride to Manhattan Beach, they do enforce Bike Helmets. I'm sure Most bike riders wear helmets, but there are a few who doesn't... Back in the days, i think they posted Bike helmet fines on the bike path like $90?? Can't remember, it's been a while since college...lol
But yea, Redondo's Quality Seafood is Cheap & Yummy!!! Back in the Days, i usually get 3 Lbs of Clean/Fried Calamari & it comes with 2 side orders(Fries/Corn, or whatever) just for myself. :P
Best is to bring a Girl with ya and enjoy the scenery, or go Solo as there'll be plenty of Girls around the Beaches... :D

No one calls it the Marvin Braude Trail. It's known as The Strand. My future house is on this trail. Haha.
Houses on the trail actually are actually bad location, since all you see is people when busy.
