    Your video tours are just about perfect for me. I love the lack of heavy editing - your pro tempore comments are so much more ehchanting. The commentary is just excellent along with the great videos. I'm Toronto born but we lived in NB when I was a kid and it brings back memories. In 1962 I was "confirmed" at the cathedrall here by "Henry Bishop of Fredericton. It was all pretty grand for a kid who lived in the little village of Salisbury, NB. Thank you so much.

    One the highlights of Fredericton is to drive along Waterloo Row to see the most stately homes of the city. The building opposite the Legislature of New Brunswick ( not called a Parliament)is the Beaverbrook Art Gallery which is one of the finest art galleries in the country. It is a real gem and well worth a visit, not something you would expect to see in a city of this size. You should have driven further upriver, onto Woodstock Rd where you would see Willmot Park, Government House( home of the Leutenant Govenor), the Delta Hotel and the Diplomat Restaurant( one of the citys' favourites).

      Good morning. You are welcome. I forgot to mention that historically, Christ Church Cathedral is one the oldest buildings to see ( you came very close) and the best approach to U.N.B. is to drive from the riverfront all the way up University Ave. ( many Victorian homes on it).
      I wish you both all the best in your new home but keep in mind Fredericton and Saint John have been rivals since their establishment. Enjoy both cities and ignore the locals on their prejudices.😁

    Thank you so much on your very helpful and enjoyable videos.You both do a great job with the commentary and humour. Love the singing (I sang with you)! 😁👏🏻 Keep the videos going please! We are trying to decide which Atlantic province to move to from Ontario. I am running from pollution and heat with a rare type severe asthma ( 8% of pop has it), resistant to all treatments and extreme sensitivity to chemicals and such. I have to be careful of extreme heat and humidity and severe cold. Wood fumes are terrible and I do worry about all the wood heat used out there even in cities. Did you notice a lot in your neighbourhood? This is a one income family and Ontario is killing us financially despite my husband making a good wage. We would like a home which is far out of reach here now. So we are not coming with a nest egg or equity unfortunately. I just want to be able to breathe.

    • @WeLoveSaintJohn
      @WeLoveSaintJohn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment. People do still use wood stoves here, and also heat their homes with oil. My only suggestion would be to look for something rural (away from neighbours and industry), or very close to the Bay of Fundy. The fresh ocean breezes have helped Wendy's allergies tremendously, and also moderates the climate to help avoid the extreme heat and cold. Luckily, both of these options (even together) are available here and reasonably priced.

    Hello! I just have to tell you - fredericton isn't a bilingual city; being the capital, the government aspect is bilingual but otherwise it is majority English. Also, you didn't tour the North side which is, literally, half the city ... the "main" campus is just "the campus" which houses UNB, STU and NBCC and there is also the Craft College - which make up a similar amount of the workplace in fredericton as the government jobs do. Also, why only fall and spring and you wouldn't live there in the summer or winter? Furthermore, no students from the universities rent up Regent because the prices are too high. As Realtors you should show what the typical apartment or house is like for students, which tend to be Kings College, Graham Street, Windsor Street or Beaverbook. I enjoy that you toured the city, but please look up more information on it to accurately portray the highlights and details of Fredericton. A lot of the points made are wrong. Also, at the 31:44 mark, to the left if Chalmers Regional Hospital, a lot of people would like to know a regional hospital is there. Finally, where you were downtown on King Street, is not the best way to connect to the highway to get to Saint John, Moncton, etc. Also, The Green is a major focal point for Frederictonians to take the walking bridge and finish off the walk at Picaroons, which is also on the North Side. The city has a million things to offer and this video just didn't do it justice.

    • @WeLoveSaintJohn
      @WeLoveSaintJohn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're funny. We don't live in Fredericton; our channel is called We Love Saint John. We also don't get paid, nor do we get anything out of making these videos. The ad revenue doesn't cover the cost of gas to drive up there. There are not many videos of Fredericton with over 30,000 views like this one has, and if you read the 99% of reviews that are appreciative, we will argue that we have done more of a service for the city than most of its residents. We will, however, look forward to seeing your perfect video of the city. Let us know when it's posted.
