here's what $9.73 will get you at 7/11 in tokyo :) written recipes jasmineandtea.com/ link to ingredients www.amazon.com/shop/jasminean... instagram / jasmineandtea 🍵
I know. In the US, a smoothie (with added protein powder) would be over $10, and that’s not including the tip for the person making it! This whole meal would easily be over $30 here in NYC!
I love that many Asian countries have healthier options available in convenience stores. I mean for less than a McDonald's breakfast combo, you get fruit, real eggs, a few veggies and it's not all filled with grease and salt.
Fruit prices especially in Tokyo are crazy. After 2 months living there I came back to Europe and made a fruit salad to compensate my lack of vitamin c. 😂 as a student, I had to be very thoughtful about how to spend my money. So there was no chance of having an apple a day to keep the doctor away. But I did also learn that fruits are consumed quite differently in Japan. It is considered to be a fine dessert and you can even bring good fruit as a present. Consequently the prices are higher in relation. I also wonder if import costs are a bit higher for Japan as it is situated as an island in the Pacific Ocean. 🤔
I love the convenience culture (used to live in taipei with a convenience store on every block) but one thing that always made me feel bad was the packaging. I ended up doing research on where each country stood on single-use plastic waste and somehow taiwan and japan's were relatively low??? lower than the us, aus, uk, some european countries. This eased my guilty heart the tiniest bit but it sure made me feel worse about life in the states.
Never thought Japan would be cheaper than New Zealand but there you go. I wish I lived in Japan! So good to see people wearing masks, Kiwis are too selfish to wear them 💔
This looks so good. It’s so crazy that a breakfast like this is so inexpensive!! 🤤❤
It's 12 dollars how is that not expensive
@@UNDEADWXRLORD because 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast is often $12.
@@mavel2038 I don't wanna live where ur at that's for sure

Why is 7/11 so much better in South Korea and japan
China and Hong Kong also have better 7/11 too 😔
Asian has better McDonald, KFC and Pizza hut too
I would say cuz Asian food culture is often better than American/Western food culture.
Idk I’m not American but that’s my observations
no longer owned by 7-11 that’s why so they stock much better items
Taiwan too
And the smoothie is $9 by itself in America lol
Where are you buying smoothies that they're so expensive?
@@sassychimpanzee7431fr😭
i got two medium slushies for me and my dad and a tiny bag of candy and it was 18$ ☹️
Not at 7-11, which is where she was at.
That smoothie machine is so cool!!!!
I hope it's not broken or dirty like McFlurry machines at McDonald's. 😆
@@L.-I. was thinking the same about the stick that goes inside your drink to make it into slush ....but let's hope the workers clean it daily
@@L.-I. It’s japan. They probably clean it after every use lol.

I highly recommend Tuna-mayo(ツナマヨ) onigiri and Oden(おでん) from 7/11.
These are so good🥺❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your sharing. I wanted to try the smoothie machine for a long time but I was scared to try it. I'm Japanese.
Wow all in one sitting very impressive!
That's enough food fir me for a week!
I know right. Amqzed at how she can eat and drink so much in one meal? Maybe she is sharing some food with her boyfriend/cameraman!! 🥰
This may sound odd, but I truly love your big appetite! ❤
Me too. I love that it's all healthy so you are able to eat big meals and still have energy for the day.
Wish our 7-11 stores in the state looks clean like in Japan
thats bc the people there actually care about their environment and cleanliness off their streets/stores/etc
@@bigdome9322 absolutely 💯

The Japanese breakfast looks so 😍 good 👍.
That’s a lot of food! Looks great ❤
I like that you show your empty bowls at the end
Just an egg sandwich costed like $12 USD at the convenience store I use to work at. :(
Now that's a good breakfast 😋

Thanks for taking us on your trip with you. So excited..I’m going in October! :)
out of everything I've seen the thing that makes me go omg, is the fact they accepted a card payment lol
I've been learning lately I don't eat enough based off of a lot these kinds of videos. It's such a weird thing to realize lol
looks very tasty!!
Omg they need an exact version of these Korean/Japan 711 in LA
Didn't know there was this much sandwich type bread there I see lot of shorts with those, that's cool :).
The egg salad is the best in Japan 😭✊🏼✊🏼❤️
볼때마다 느끼는건데 식성이 저랑똑같네요 ㅋㅋ 얼마전도쿄에 갔을때 편의점에서 같은걸 먹었습니다 에그샌드위치 참맛있죠
You should try basil edamame &octopus salad one.. it's so good
Enjoy your trip there!
I so wish this store was available for me on my lunch breaks 😢 fast food here in the US is deadly and expensive 😫
Was that an egg salad sandwich? That looked so good❤
I will definitely need a navigator to roam like her in a convenience store
Yess the egg sando!
Everything looks so good! Is that pasta in the little shrimp bowl?
7-11 needs to up their game in the states.
get the egg salad from LAWSONS
They have so many healthy options in a 7/11 in Japan no wonder Japanese are the most healthiest people in the world!

All I could think about was gudetama talking to all the sad egg Dishes
You are awesome ❤❤❤😘😘😘😘
Omg. I need a smoothie machine like that. Lol.
Where I live the smoothie would have been $9 dollars alone
Arigato Hozaei masu
thats crazy just the smoothie would be 8 bucks here...
Only the smoothie and pudding together would be about $10 in America, but I would say around $26 for all items lol well at least in NYC
Yummy. Most expensive meal I've seen yet.
You’re a genius
They should have more vegan options at 7-11!

Are the smoothie machines ever cleaned?
Yummy!! Does anyone know what the item with the jammy egg in the middle was called?
it's a kind of rice ball or onigiri
If we take out the curreny exchange off the context, RM9.73 in certain place in Malaysia, but in general, it is not enough. Barely.
People who asked that is it worth the buying, yes def
❤️❤️❤️
All that for breakfast 👀 that's crazy
You should come to Brazil 😊
The egg alone would be like $4 here
❤
The food there is on a different level...our 7-11 is garbage. San Francisco California
Not run by US 7-11s that’s why- independently run so they stock much better items
LOVEJESUS 😊
9$ in Iraq u can buy 1 kg of tomatoes, potatoes, onion, apple, orange, cucumber and set of eggs and one raw chicken.
