1:07:03 the Deliverer Sgt can take the Multi-Melta so he can multiple shots with the infravisor. Alpha Legion can take a power dagger to pair with a chainfist on the sarge for the extra attack.
As an Alpha Legion player, this is just a tier list of Rewards of Treachery. I personally take a ten man squad of Huscarls with Solarite Power Gauntlets and shields that infiltrate thanks to Alpharius
I don't really get the hate for Reavers 🤔 5 man for 150 points. Can get line. Counter attack, relentless, precision shot and strike 6+ 2 wounds each WS 5 Can take a BUNCH of melee weapons + meltaguns for every 5th 4 points more than a veteran but you get counter attack, and precision + chainaxes ? You're more knowledgeable than me and obviously scholars but I feel you're a bit unfair
Loved these tear lists veidos. Also for dawn breakers you could take Zephon in one unit to basically give them a prator with rad grenades and he has furious charge im pretty sure for s6 ap on the charge. So you don't have to take a morritat for the combo you can take a good combat charcter for the same buff. (You should never do it but allied custodies with s6 ap 2 i 5 spears i think work best with zephon in the squad for that tasty instant death if you uou want to have no friends)
I would actually drop Dominators down because they don’t actually give that much more besides saving some points for a Cataphractii Command Squad (which would also have Line).
Quickfire was the inductii! I’m sure we did the ofanim as I pulled up the pic thought it was something else then we went back and did them when we realised I’d got the wrong unit (by coming to the fire wing)
The way to use jorlund hunters is in ZM where their flamers get +1 to wound. Since they get to snap shoot after running, by virtue of being space wolves, a squad of 10 can can wall of death anything within 19" of where they start the turn for 10d3 auto-hits at effectively strength 4. Is that worth paying 200 points for when you could have 20 tacticals instead? probably not, but it's cool. With the TS ammitara cabal, one thing to do with them is to take a pathfinder consul and upgrade him to be a psyker. It's +25pts for both upgrades, but it's -20pts net compared to just buying a librarian. The ammitara cabal's power combines with the pathfinder to give their psychic weapon powers 4+ rending. Beyond that, they don't need to worry about only having a 4+ save because every model in the unit will have skirmish, which means they get a 4++ cover save while in a ruin (which they should be after infiltration and scout move). A 4++ 6+++ is not quite as good as a 3++, but it's still good enough to keep them alive long enough to justify spending 260pts for the full combo.
A 10 man TSS with regular flamers and chainswords is cheaper than a 10 man Jorlund Hunter squad and gets real flamers rather than Hand Flamers. In ZM you mostly want the flamers for Suppress actions, which are already Pinning. The Torrent won't matter much either since you're going to constantly be using Wall of Death rather than firing with the templates.
The problem with the Ammitara is that their weapons don't benefit from their rule. It specifically doesn't replace the Rending 5+ on the Nemesis, Meltaguns don't need it, and Plasma Guns have Breaching 4+. While Rending 4+ is better than Breaching, it's a bit of of a "6 to one half a dozen to the other" situation. The rule really only makes their Bolt Pistols good, which is just sad.
Ammitara benefit from their power on Nemesis bolters, they get to rending 4+ instead of 5+. The only problem is that their power must be activated with the unit, they can't activate it with an Independent Character (and rolling for powers on ld8 is horrible). So adding an IC loses a lot of value. You can still do it to add the Athanaen Arcana and activate it on ld9, which is good, but a full psychic discipline on them doesn't really matter. Divination is useless; telepathy is always good of course but you wanna get these guys as far back as possible and shoot undisturbed, so you might not be in range for the power; pyromancy is useless because, again, they want to be really far back; biomancy is useless; telekinesis might be the only useful discipline, but they're getting a 4+/4+/6+ anyway, so it's kind of wasted. But the biggest problem with these is, as I always say, that they forgot to give them a scanner, so if there's night fighting they're absolutely fucked. And I can't justify adding a 70pts techmarine just for a scanner, it just doesn't sit right with me. Yes, again, you're getting an arcana, but it's still on ld8. And the chance of losing 1-3 of these very expensive elite snipers is just not worth any power, unfortunately.
@@AndrewPeverells The power specifically states that is does not improve or replace any version of Rending that the unit already has. Since Nemesis Bolters already have Rending, it doesn't work on them.
@DeusExMachina10001 no, the rule specifically says another thing: " If the Check is passed, the Shooting Attacks of all models in the unit with the Psyker Unit Sub-type gain the Rending (4+) and Ignores Cover special rules in addition to any other effects their weapons might have, for the duration of the turn". So whichever weapon they're using gets 4+ rending. Simple as that.
Hypothetical question: If you were to place mechanicum infantry on here (in the context of a mechanicum army) which tier would Thallax, Castellax and Myrmidons land in?
Myrmadons definately S Thallax Bill would go higher than me but im scared of HBs so top B Castellax sadly D I Think, tubs of wounds but if you dont get first no reactions for the first turn is a killer, and auto hit with MBs which ignore armour... ouch
They had a shocker in the quickfire round, but in general I agree tbh, for a legion that actually I think stacks up well the individual units aren’t great I don’t think
Seriously, thank you for the work, guys.
1:07:03 the Deliverer Sgt can take the Multi-Melta so he can multiple shots with the infravisor. Alpha Legion can take a power dagger to pair with a chainfist on the sarge for the extra attack.
But weirdly the deliverers can’t have a grenade harness so that can really ruin the benefit if lightning claws if your opponent sits in cover
@ true. I usually stick in a jump pack character to circumvent that issue though.
That AL combo is my autotake whenever I run Laerneans.
@@n0hesitati0n15 love me a good cheap Lernaean squad to bully or hold backfield objectives.
Did I miss Red Hand Destroyers? Epic video and conclusion!
Not sure if it would change your opinion on them but chieftains can come in squads of 10! Which I think is a fairly big plus over command squads.
Normal command squads come is squads of 9 so not that many more mans.
@MayhapsOmegon ok I also stand corrected. I thought they were 5
@ terminator ones are so I can totally see where the confusion came from! No worries!

Talk about punching power. That’s one hell of a way to smash into enemy flanks
@@n0hesitati0n15 Yep, and with a 2+ 3++ and Battlehardened, they are tough to shift
I’m gunna prove to you that the numerologist belongs in S tier I just have worked out how yet
Haha I hope your great plan comes to fruition!
@ can I just say though absolutely great work on the channel Max! And good work getting through every single unit, love the channel, love the content!

Ok found them at 18 min. That's the first time I've heard of inductii. Thanks
