Slim Shady vs. Marshall Mathers: THE FACE-OFF Marshall to Slim: "Bro you're just doing the same shit you always do. Make the fucking single fake controversial without really offending anyone, and then put all the fucked up shit on the deep cut so people talk about the album after it drops." He's been doing that strat for decades. Make a radio single then piss people off on the rest of the album.
I am convinced that currently, alive today, Eminem is the worldwide, undisputed number 1, with a bullet, master of the English language on this planet. There may be better in history, but they are dead. Absolutely no one else can write like him. How do you find so many triple and quad entendres and still make them rhyme and flow?
It’s actually better and makes more sense to listen to the album backwards. You can pinpoint the exact moment in one of the songs where Slim takes over completely from Em. Also the track list also points to what Em has been saying about “listening to the whole album in order but not in the order you think.”Look at the names of the songs and Skits you’ll see what he was talking about. The last song is called “Somebody save me” and it’s Em calling out for help to be saved from Slim. A lot of people noticed that the original list of the songs didn’t really make sense until people started listening to the album from bottom to top and saw it made more sense that way. I can’t wait for the B Side version to be released because Em said there’s a lot of songs he wished he’d included for everyone to hear but was instructed to remove them, so it definitely looks like he’s going to do the same thing again that he did with MTBMB so people can hear the songs that he was told to take out due to run time. But I think it’s his label knowing what they’re doing and knowing how much the fans want to hear the other songs he’s been talking about so they can make more money with a second version of the album being released with the missing songs included. So at some point within the next few weeks we’re going to get another version with all the songs he originally wanted on it but was told he needed to remove some of the tracks just before it was released. The same thing happened with MTBMB, he had a bunch of songs he wanted on the original version of the album but was told to remove some of them which is why he released the album again with the added title called “B Side” and that’s one h*ll of an album in my personal opinion.

Yo dude millennial here for context. Slim Shady died off after Em got clean, his sound and subject matter changed and it turned a lot of old school fans off. This new album is the first “old school Em” album we’ve heard in almost 20 years, which is why everyone’s going nuts.

Finish album reviews for Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show then spot listen to some songs from his mid career like others have said "Rap God", "Darkness" "Headlights" "Godzilla" and when you decide to do Death of Slim Shady, go in order from front to back, that's the only way to appreciate it.

It’s actually better and makes more sense to listen to the album backwards. You can pinpoint the exact moment in one of the songs where Slim takes over completely from Em. Also the track list also points to what Em has been saying about “listening to the whole album in order but not in the order you think.”Look at the names of the songs and Skits you’ll see what he was talking about. The last song is called “Somebody save me” and it’s Em calling out for help to be saved from Slim. A lot of people noticed that the original list of the songs didn’t really make sense until people started listening to the album from bottom to top and saw it made more sense that way. I can’t wait for the B Side version to be released because Em said there’s a lot of songs he wished he’d included for everyone to hear but was instructed to remove them, so it definitely looks like he’s going to do the same thing again that he did with MTBMB so people can hear the songs that he was told to take out due to run time. But I think it’s his label knowing what they’re doing and knowing how much the fans want to hear the other songs he’s been talking about so they can make more money with a second version of the album being released with the missing songs included. So at some point within the next few weeks we’re going to get another version with all the songs he originally wanted on it but was told he needed to remove some of the tracks just before it was released. The same thing happened with MTBMB, he had a bunch of songs he wanted on the original version of the album but was told to remove some of them which is why he released the album again with the added title called “B Side” and that’s one h*ll of an album in my personal opinion.
