    Bro I am so so sorry for asking you this again and I know you have kind of explained in previous videos …but I’m soo stuck with the skin pores on 1/6 heads ..I’m using alphas I I got online and they look perfect in zbrush…the problem is when I print the head there are no skin textures or skin pores …all I need to know is the INTENSITY in zbrush your using for the printer to capture the detail of the skin pores . Are you using layers and increasing the intensity when in zbrush or are you increasing the intensity of the actual alpha brush in zbrush ?…Ive wasted sooooo much resin doing test prints and it’s making me go mad !! Please any help you’ll reallly help!!! ..thank you for the awesome videos and answering my previous questions .

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah you have to exaggerate the pores for the printer to capture them. You could probably achieve it by duplicating your pores layer and they will look deeper. Make sure to print at 25 microns or lower if possible.

    I've watched quite a few of your custom videos now and love your approach to it all. Just winging it is so much more fun! I've used silicone gasket sealer stuff in customs before, it is a great addition to the creative tool box. You can get paintable silicone for bathrooms in the hardware stores if you need some that will accept paint. Keep up the great work!

    DAMN! Zedabyu....that is one of your best! How do you attach the recast head to the neck? because I notice there is a huge hole where the neck stump would be. Love the silicone idea brilliant!

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man! The recast head is quite small so it just stuck onto the neck like it's meant to be. Otherwise, you'd want to get a neck peg (for that hole you mentioned) to connect the head to the neck. They are usually included in the stock bodies you buy so don't worry about it.

    Hey man, just a tip, I resin 3D print too, and I know that any uncured resin left inside a print will eventually cause the print to split and crack over time. This is the last thing you want with your creations. You need to get that resin out of there, then cure! One tip is to buy a UV flash light and leave it shining into the inside of the print. Just a heads up.

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip! I do try to flush the resin out as much as I could.

  • @crazygeorgelincoln

    Gasket sealant! Inaginative.
    I'm super jealous of your cad to print abilities. I think I need to recast a head to see exactly how off my painting is.
    A former foamsmith associate of mine painted foam with evostick with pigments added. 1:1scale stuff.
    So following the logic. Silicone sticks to silicone, especially the same type. Painting a body with powder pigment mixed with a platinum curing silicone thinned with liquid silicone thinner. Should be a permanent way to colour a flexible body .
    Before doing learning, I read posts about using pastels and crayons ,while trying the techniques described myself ,I couldn't help feeling this feels retarded.
    Anyway ,so the evistick glue paint can be sprayed (yes it's toxic ,extractor placed at floor level) so why not tinted thinned liquid silicone. I'm looking at you pointing a finger at the blue silicone..
    Sidenote
    ( I have yet to learn the specifics of tpe a semi organic silicone, uhu glue aggressively eats it , I will get there, I'm boiling a lot of eggs at the same time , diy body 2.0 will happen )

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Painting with glue? Wow that's pretty innovative. Yeah I really needa find an affordable clear silicone that I can dye for silicone painting. Absolutely! Having a printer opens up so much creative possibilities. Missing something? Whip up something digitally and print it! Love it. Sounds like a really messy project but I am looking forward to your new custom body ✌

    I see why you think the Carnage head is too big... but the way I was thinking about it is like this: he is mid-transformation, his body still has to bulk up. The symbiote just covered his head first. Now the body needs to catch up 😉
