The glossy paint application and sculpt reminds me of the TH-camr Dimwitteddinobot who years ago made phenomenal symbiote customs like this. Great to see customizers still doing stuff like this.
You should try mixing in either a bit of mineral spirits or isopropyl alcohol to the silicone. It will thin it out depending on how much you add but still be able to cure/dry. Might make it easier to work with.
That head is so creative. Maybe for the body you could try painting it black first before adding the silicone to select areas for the effect. Great concept tho!

I think next time for something like the chest symbol, paint the symbol on first so you can get the clean lines with something easier to work with and then texture with the silicone, I know there's a way to thin out silicone as well which would def make it easier to use.

Your spidey is a nice attempt but like you said, proportions are off and the black silicone doesnt have the right look for venom goo. The expressive headsculpt is the main highlight of this video though! It looks amazing

@@zedabyu maybe you could cut out a stencil of the logo from masking tape so it doesnt spill over. I feel like if you did a second attempt and change your workflow a bit this could turn out really good.

GREAT MINDS. Quality-wise, Phicen has a better skeleton than Jiaou. I only chose Jiaou for this body because the physique is different. The body sculpt is different, that's all.

Looks like you had fun with the body , play is learning,(that's what I tell myself ) I noticed comments about thinning silicone, it can also be thickened ,(corn starch or flour something?? bigclive did video) less like sculpting raw egg. White silicone spider logo cast perhaps,wrapped around and stuck on with black snot. You make face painting look so easy ,I feel sick, why have I bought so many heads that arrive not matching any colour rubbery body. 👍👍👍👍
The heads didn't match skin tone of the body either haha but I've learnt to not try and paint according to the body's color cos that would instead make the head look weird in the end. Yeah, that expression tool is reigniting my spark for 1/6 customs!

You can only modify a figure one at a time so you are value adding to the figure with your skills and effort, plus people can always strip it down to see what base you used to identify the original maker. As for models, it can be easily modified with a few nudges to the point where the owner can't even recognize it, as demonstrated in this video, then mass produced as your own without giving credit to anyone.

If you try woody again I suggest useing soft and huggable woody head sand the eyebrows paint the hair stripes and sculpt eyebrows
