    When loading the store bought ammo, do you not need to add a fuse?

    What will happen if you load everything the way you did without a powder bushing in the aluminum hull and just put bp in the hull? Would it just explode as soon as u press the trigger or would it fly out correctly

    If my casings are 3.5” with the bushing milled in what cardboard tube length would you recommend? Thanks for your help.

      Im assuming 4” but then I’m curious about the ratio of the hot glue plugs. Mainly the base plug.

      The plastic hulls are 2" long. The aluminum hulls are usually 3" or more. So, 2.5" or 3" tubes will work with either. 3" tubes seem to give the best glue:powder ratio for most signaling payloads.

      Note: If you can find larger tubes, there's nothing wrong with 4" , you'll just use more glue.

    I reload a lot of ammo, there are much more scary ones, with fast burning powder. Like a .300 blackout with CFE Black. I consider these a firework, that has a fancy tube to launch it from.

    Are you not doing this anymore for a reason. I live in Ohio so was just wondering if it's a legal issue.

      I'm hoping to upload more this summer. It's been a crazy year: traveling overseas, planning a wedding, new career and businesses, etc.

    Do you still need powder with store bought load ready rounds?

    • @37mmOHIO
      @37mmOHIO  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. Some loads will come already assembled in the hulls. In that case, no, they are finished and ready to go. The other option is buying the payloads, which still require you to have a hull, add powder and primer, etc. Maybe I'll add these examples in the next video!

    How much does it cost per round to make? Seem like fun to get in too

    • @37mmOHIO
      @37mmOHIO  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a lot of fun! Once you get into a rhythm of knowing where to get your supplies, the cost for "bird banger" rounds becomes a few dollars per payload. It's when you get into flares, smoke, etc. that costs will rise. Even then, it can be less expensive than buying factory rounds. However factory rounds can be fun too!

      @@37mmOHIO great info. I'm going to read up on the law in my state (louisiana) before I get really in to it. See if it even allows to own and shoot here. I dont want the atf to come take all my toys. You channel awesome hope to see more video coming.

    I understood that the combined charge max was 1/4 Oz? That is 120 Grains. Is this correct?

    • @37mmOHIO
      @37mmOHIO  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll need to check with your state and local laws, and check the current ATF regulations. At the time of making this video, the max black powder allowed in the entire device was 105 grains. I don't recommend weighing by ounce, always grains.

    • @myfavoritemartian1
      @myfavoritemartian1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@37mmOHIO There was also some question if the ATF was using weight or volume also. Too much is not clear. Thanks!

    • @37mmOHIO
      @37mmOHIO  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@myfavoritemartian1 At the time of my research, it was volume. I agree that their language is unclear, but that works in our favor too. You're safe measuring 105 grains by volume.
