I’m watching this video for the third time and I have backspaced several times to hear you get a catch in your throat that you’ve been selfish. I don’t know who has told you that but I found you a couple of weeks ago and can see that you’re busy, you’re talented, you’re a lot of fun, you do all these wonderful videos on TH-cam.- Whoever said that to you is toxic and doesn’t need to be in your life. Thanks for all you do
I love watching you work, especially the layering and the integration process. This is a lot of work for you to prepare these videos, and I want you to know how appreciative I am of your effort and how much I have learned that I apply to my artwork.
Watching you work is so inspiring. I learned so much. Thank you for your willingness to share your talent and ideas. You are a true blessing. Thank you!
Just joined both of your Facebook accounts - 1 pending. I love your work - have probably watched 3very video you have published, several watched multiple times. Love your work. Love your philosophy!
If you have a cheap canvas that buckles at the corners there is an easy remedy for that. Just use a broad paintbrush to brush water onto the back of the canvas until it's fairly damp, especially in those buckled corners, then use a blow dryer to dry the canvas, and the fabric will become taut.
Thanks Robyn, Watching your process is very helpful to me. I've got the gelli prints and the canvas, and now I have the permission to use them together! I don't think I would have figured that out by myself. I'm inspired to have some fun. I really appreciate you sharing your thought process and techniques. Please so more videos:) THANK YOU
Just found this video--your work is new to me. Learned and am inspired! Thank you! Have been using gelli prints in paper collage, but now will look at more of your videos for more ideas.
Just found this 2017 series of videos. Woo-hoo, Robyn, I love your style. There are so many places I would have stopped along the creation of this painting, and you bravely kept moving forward. Just put in a request to join your FB group.
kind Robyn, edges can be achieved by lightly wetting were you wish to tare the onion skin, oriental papers work well with this technique, Take a small shamy thick, dampen it and lay it quickly on the edge you wish to tare
So good to watch you create. I got some onion skin paper and Indian print block from EBay! And using dickblick for my paints too! Thank you for teaching us all.💗🎨😀
Great video! Thank you so much, Robyn. I'm learning so much from you. I've been playing with ink and intuitive scripting. Just started incorporating some of that into my collages and mixed media pieces on canvas. Loved watching you work in one whole Gelli print here to a canvas. Can't wait to try this! Keep up the beautiful work and great vibe. ✨
Hi Robyn, I took your advice and started my own channel! only the last few videos are more of what I really want my channel to be...but what I really want to say is thank you so much! for giving me the final push in the right direction, even if you don't remember, I won't mind that at all, it has been a while so, thanks again and good luck with everything too, p.s love your vids
Your canvas is not well stretched , Rub the back side with a hot square sponge .it will shrink and be Be perfect . I do that to my canvas before painting .it’s also good when we make a bump or a mark somewhere .It’s magic
I love your work ! I love Gel print but with you I see art ! Please can you tell me the name of the ruler you use to torn the paper to have this effect of an old vintage photo ? this is amasing ! Sorry for my english, I am from france. Thank in advance
Yes it was a cheap canvas I didn't see how loose it was until after taking the plastic off😩 you know it still cost decent money, they don't make things like they use too!!!! But to answer your question fortunately I use a lot of paint and the moisture did draw the canvas in😊
Circle Healing Network I hate cheap canvases! I like to stretch my own when painting in oil...acrylic not so much. Been watching for awhile now...you’ve got me on the lookout for onionskin! And I love the green and kraft paper on roll!
Robyn McClendon Thank you. I’m not art very knowledgeable so when I went to Amazon this is what I found: Liquitex Professional Pouring Effects Medium, FolkArt Medium, 898 Floating or Liquitex Professional Slow-Dri Blending Fluid Medium. Which one do you recommend?
LOL...Actually I work on my raw cotton/linen canvas which I gesso then I hang on the wall to paint, I stretch them afterwards. My style is to teach to the median, here on TH-cam where my followers are experimenting with new techniques, it's a shame to not try something new because it's shown with expensive canvases and paints. My goal is to demonstrateI how to create lovely pieces using medium to low cost supplies, naturally you'll win with purchasing more expensive supplies. I believe I talked about this in the video, regarding encouraging the use of inexpensive canvases for practice. I have a Studio School for my Master Classes and deeper dives into techniques..take care :)
It is my en caustic spot .my bead making spot ,my art journal spot and were I eat......Im constantly putting stuff up and getting it all out again later that day....lol..One day I want a studio I can just leave my stuff out.....
I love watching an Artist's creative journey. Thanks
What a treat to watch you paint. I envy your freedom, and am going to try it.

No need to answer. I find the name, but this item is no longer available ! Can't find it. Sorry for the question.
Love this piece! How will you deal with the loose Canvas? Will it tighten up?
Yes it was a cheap canvas I didn't see how loose it was until after taking the plastic off😩 you know it still cost decent money, they don't make things like they use too!!!! But to answer your question fortunately I use a lot of paint and the moisture did draw the canvas in😊

Yay!
Hello robyn. I'm new and i have 1 question. Do work with fabric? I have a simple design that i would like to use on already made sheets
yaaaaa....
You said “extender” when you started painting with the Ocher. What did you mean?
An acrylic paint extender it will thin the paint out without making them watery...Thx for asking! :)
