Hey man thanks for the video. I was just having a question. The lines that go to the condenser with piping and one goes to the other end, near the headlight. Is that little canister with a sensor on top connector to the system in some way?
Sorey, Do you mean inside or under the bonnet buddy? If I am thinking eight that sounds like the air conditioning unit pipes which will be to do with that side but not the blowers per say.
What was the actual problem? I have a 99 convertible (US market LHD) and already replaced the digital climate control unit-the original had that common soder issue on the motherboard. unfortunately the fan motor only works for a couple of minutes after starting (on every speed), occasionally working again. and my research leads me to believe that it's the fan motor, although it's tough to find these 10-20 year old forum posts. I'm pretty certain it's not the fuse, should I just order a new motor right away?
Hi, ours I'm the end was the Heater resistor that went on ours. About a year before this video was made we replaced the heater control panel on ours, but when solder went on ours the display and everything died on ours. It Sounds like you have similar issues to ours. I would start with the resistor. It was easier to do and cheaper but I did the fan 1st thinking that was the problem 🫣😂 I hope that this helps
Hi, does it blow any air? Is it only blowing hot? If its only blowing hot it could be the heater control valve stuck. If its blowing air badly it could be a blocked pollen filter. Ours was crap for ages and I found the pollen filter was old and blocked. I pulled it out and it was much better
@shawnhill9950 hi, sorry for the late reply. For the centre vents there should be an adjustment wheel with red one side and blue the other. If you set that to red it should use air from the heater box and get hot with the other vents. If it is on blue it will stay cold as it will just blow fresh air in from outside. But if it is in the middle then it will blow a mix of the two. So will usually only come out luke warm. I will do a short with a BMW to try and explain it better later if that is OK?

The piping is like an aluminum kind of scrunched up

Is the com suppose to be in the red wire?
The red wire I believe is the com wire

@@wolf_kiff_workshop it blows air at my feet and defrost and it’s hot but at the main it blows but not hot or cold just blows
