Great tutorial for beginners in Houdini. I had to pause the video about 200 times to keep up, but it was worth it. Subscribed. I like your tutorial style.

I'm still a noob to Houdini. I had fun following your step by steps. I just have to figure out where I went wrong after clip 3 and down the rest of the nodes lol... I got a bunch of Warning (!) Overall, Thank You! I learned a lot :D

I do have one question, when I use the voronoi fracture node, all of the original edges are still present, which makes a mess later when we try to re-sample, why/ how do I fix that?

    excellent channel!
could you make video about procedural roof tiles? especially roof with "jagged" edges (so roof tiles stick out of the roof edge)
    best regards!

    Hi
    This tutorial is gold!
Can I ask, I would like to adapt it to create lots and streets in a medieval city. Is there a way to jitter the resampled points organically like you did so to deform the inner streets in a "weavy" way like you did but also avoid warping the outer bounds of the perimeter? 😅. And would there also be a way to keep the geometry between the lots, the fractured shapes, so to use it as streets?
Awesome tutorial in any case ;)

Hey there I'm wondering about the image based fracturing that you mention at the end of the video. Wondering if you'd do a tutorial on that or maybe post a hip file of an example of that. This is something that I've sought after for some time.

Link your buddys videos pls! That bevel trick is one clever way to get neat edges.

Hi, I try to achieve a path with a curve similiar to yours but I ended up a huge mess as usual :D How to get a proper result if we start with a curve instead of a grid? This way A good HDA can be used furthermore in engines.

I am still very confusing when suddenly there comes a new note that I don't know. I dont even know how did you grap all these notes' functions.

Howdy Tae! Thanks so much for watching! So it has been a journey over the past few years of learning what all the nodes do in Houdini. I completely understand your questions. I was there at one point. I learned by initially reading through the documentation and doing the basic tutorials on the Side Effects website. I then watched a couple of the courses on CMI VFX, back in the day. From there, I just started using Houdini in my game projects and over time it all begins to stick. Ill do a better job of explaining what each node does, or try to make a series of videos on individual nodes. I hope that helps ya. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again! :-)

You are very welcome. I didn't want to complain, really appreciate someone I don't know on the internet is trying to make tutorials. Big thumbs up for you!
Btw, if you will make any tutorial, try to only focus on one thing a time, no more than 10 minutes - which is another problem I often have when watching houdini tutorials( It is very often 1-2 hours)

God hates me so not everything here works with my version of Houdini, but good tutorial anyway
