Thank you for being so open about the ins and outs of making things and how it’s not always quick and easy to make. It really is worth spending time on something that you imagine and bringing it to life. I love a challenge and I like to keep going and push through to make something great. You always inspire me to keep going as well, so thank you so much 💕
Tracy I truly enjoyed this tutorial. This is so adorable…it has precious written all over it. it’s simple and easy and also it’s easily tailored to the crafter. You are so patient…giving Step by step instructions …walking us through each stage of this up cycle with your mild and joyful personality. Again I truly enjoyed this tutorial. And you always look amazing. I am never disappointed my friend 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Love this outfit!❤ I wish you would tell all your fans new and old how you got started how long you have been creating works of art. Maybe something about life experiences that made you so fearless and living on the edge of creating such beautiful clothing!❤
Yes!!! A Q&A also. She seems so perfect with a perfect life--all said with love--that alot of questions pop up. Like does she have children, besides the furry ones. Etc
Traci, I just love your videos. You present instructions so clearly that it is totally a joy to watch and learn from you. Please keep them coming. I've made your purses and bleached out flannel shirts for my daughter-in-law and grandgirls....they think I rock! Thank you!
Thanks for the pep talk at the end. I’m trying to pluck up the courage to make my first bag. I am so inspired by how wild and free you are. Thanks for your content. N
I don’t even know how i happened upon your videos but i am so glad i did. I love watching your videos, you have a great voice to listen to and you are so good at explaining what you are doing. I have always liked clothes like you make, but had no idea where to start. I have been watching your videos for 2 days now and am still watching. I have all kinds of fabric and embelishments and now i want to get them out and start making making a bag. Thank you for showing up in my videos! 😊
Traci, I have a bunch of black velvet tops, and I would like them to be upcycled into the boho look. Any ideas would be helpful. I am not artistic in anyway, but I learn so much from you and boy am I grateful for your videos. You really are a joy to watch and learn from. I just need so extra help. Thanks.
Maybe just use one of the tops for “patches” or appliqués on a pair of jeans, a skirt, denim jacket, etc? You could add some faux pearls that are flat on the back with fabric glue and a few shabby chic lace/fabric flowers ??? Velvet is one of MY FAVORITE materials, I absolutely LOVE how adding just a little velvet piece to an outfit really elevates the entire look, you could also maybe make a scarf with one of the tops? I know Tracy is going to come up with something fantastic for you! I just seriously LOVE velvet so thought I’d just say hi and HAVE FUN!
Girl, you just keep bringing me THE COOLEST ideas for my girls! I’ve been watching your older videos while I’m finishing up a few projects for my craft show this weekend! ABSOLUTELY love your style and how clear, informative and REALLY HELPFUL your videos are! Keep ‘em coming! You’re a great inspiration to me!
I personally love the color these turned out. I want to try dye but need to figure out how to do it in a plastic bucket outside because I for sure would ruin my kitchen with the mess. You were braver than I am.
Thanku for yet another doily repurpose video. I wore a jean jacket to church with doilies on it and was asked by a lady to make her one. It made her so happy! Thanks for all you do to encourage us to sew using vintage lacey things. Greetings from Robin in NC.
Hi, if you think the dye is too dark, take some out, and just add water to the volume. That will dilute the colour, store the dark you took out into another bottle for another day. U could also add green to it for a green/blue aqua, or yellow for lime green. ::)). You are awesome, let your light shine bright. Don’t be upset about negative people. You an also overdye pattern fabric. You could also try mixing dye for nylon with natural fibre, see if that dyes both combinations eg, cotton and nylon on the same garment. I do a lot of wool dying. Mix my own colours, I love dyeing my wool, it’s awesome. Good luck. Kia Ora, we love youre projects, you are very inspiring ,more than you know.xx
I am a big woman sadly overweight and diabetic not easy but still I love girly beautiful clothes like you make and so I like to make a lot of my own things . I make clothes , I make my own soaps sometimes my own jewelry , my own candles, and lots of my own home decor etc . An even though I’m big I stay clean every day , I try to have a cute hairdo that’s easy to care for 😂
This made a cute pair of lounge pajamas. They look beautiful on you. We used to paint our shoes (with shoe paint that was sold at shoe stores) to match a new dress. That looks like a big bruise on your right wrist. I'm not on any medication; but, I still bruise easily. I find bruises on myself (when I get in the shower) that I have no idea how I got. Mowing grass puts a lot of bruises on my legs and arms.
I think you should have done the shoes last just incase they fell to bits and ruined your compleate putfit!! Absolutely exquisite 🧚♀️ 💕 I think you actually make it look like a breeze amazing 😘
Thanks so much Tracy! It turned out amazing!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Could you please explain who to achieve the ombre dyeing technique if you already know it? Thanks!!!😊
Sometimes they bleed, but for the most part they are fine. Wash in handwash cycle, cold water and by themselves. I haven't worn my shoes long enough to know if the color rubs off.💞💞💞💞💞
Sorry didn’t mean to do that , but I try to do what I can that is positive . And I love to create . I am so blessed to find and watch you and what you do , I’m really enjoying it . God richly bless you! Also I just want to ask you what you made your beautiful curtains out of in the room where you film ? An finally one more thing you could maybe find interesting , I looked a long time for an old quilt to buy without any success . So I bought a new one , it was a beautiful big floral number . So I over dyed it again on top of its original colors in a combination of red dye and coffee and tea . It turned out just beautiful and looks very much like an antique . It was great fun to do .
Such a creative and fun technique for the quilt! Love that you experimented and it came out beautiful!!! The curtains are made from plain Walmart panels and lace. I have a video on them 🤗💕💕💕
I absolutely love your creations! I'm searching for items to make my own. Now for my strange question. Lol. I absolutely love your curtain behind you. The one that has the fabric flowers on it. Did you make it? If so, could you point me in the direction of... How. I'm currently making curtains for my living room, and I think these would be perfect. However, I can't get a good enough and long enough view of them. Happy Mothers day!
Hi there! If you are not in a hurry, I will do a video on the curtains next week. Maybe a miniature version of how I created them and a good still picture for you?💞💞💞💞
GorgAThon ! Hey Tracy, I’m Shannan. Your designs are just so joyous! I love your work. Also, the sweet Poet’s blouse you’re wearing in this tutorial looks so pretty and feminine! Is this Poet’s blouse something we might learn to stitch?? I’ve a plum silk from the 80’s I wore to work back in the day. But your white Swiss dot-esque fabric is just super chic & timeless! LoveLOVELove ☕️🫖
Loooove this 😍 I must ask, simmering temperature is nearly boiling, was there any noticeable shrinking of the blouse and/or the bloomers? Thank you so much for all you teach and always answering questions ❤️🤗😘
I have a question if you please. If you are going to dye something that is cotton AND polyester would you use both natural and synthetic dye at the same time, in the same dye bath? Or only synthetic? or two separate applications? I have an overalls project and they are a cotton poly blend and some of my embellishments are poly. I'm scared that only a portion will dye and the whole thing will be ruined. And I love them. And its been a lot of work. And, and.... 😮 Thank you kindly!
Our Dear Ms. Myers: further thoughts: 1. When you pulled those slippers out to dye them I just started laughing my guts out!😂🤣😅 2. When you are pinning something to a pant leg, put a small cutting board up the leg first. It keeps your fabrics flat for more accuracy while pinning, and you do not have to worry about your pins catching the back layer. 3. Being creative IS its own form of work. When you create something, you are pulling something into existence that is new. Not only is there effort in figuring it out in the first place, but (gettin' deep here!) you are straining against the natural entropy of existence to birth something new. Birthing anything always involves labor. 4. Do you have a PO box? 5. How are the paper decoupage shoes from an earlier video holding up? I am interested to see if the decoupage lasts at all.
You would only need to do one mark at the 7 inch point and then just follow along the pattern of the table runner instead of chalking it to the end …… or is that just for nonexperience sewers
You continually repeat yourself! Iv only just logged in to your channel and you've repeated 5 times " im just going to my machine and zig zag this lace over the top of the lace blar blar.... How do these wash? Do your shoes not rub color off on your feet when you wear them? I would love to try the dye but am concerned about washing
Sometimes they bleed, but for the most part they are fine. Wash in handwash cycle, cold water and by themselves. I haven't worn my shoes long enough to know if the color rubs off.💞💞💞💞💞

Aww thank you so much 🥰no, I don't have a p.o. box. I haven't really gotten a chance to wear the shoes out and about yet💞💞💞💞
But can you go out that to any wear?
Yes

Yes that’s me I paralysed myself. Scared what if!!????? I will Risk it like you said
Aww that is very common. If you are scared of the "what if" answer the that question and the what if isn't that scary. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
