"Unfaithful" was not a satisfying movie for me, because the couple was presented as being very happy. There was no reason for Diane Lane's character to have an affair, other than lust. Ok, I guess that's reason enough, but again, there were no scenes or anything between the lines that led me to think they were unhappy.

No. I don't think it was that. He was getting movie roles. Seemed to be more related to a drinking problem he had. It was reported in the news that way. I remember it making news with a bar scuffle while on movie location. Another report of a 911 call to their house which Diane played down. He's settled down now it seems. Remarried and I think the granddaughters Streisand is crazy over are his daughters.
And who cares what she does off screen, she is adult and the other is an adult. Just comment on the movies actors are on. Their life is their life. We dont coment and follow the mechanics and mail man or the warehouse workers and say ever worker has an affair.
I donot care , ever since the Unfaithfull I cannot stand her . This film was redone and the French original is far more respectful about the husband . The US version is disgusting . I donot like her ! Point .
