Re: the adults in the "It" movie are implied to be under It's control, that's why it seems like the kids are left to fend for themselves. That's why all the adults in the town are kinda non-chalant about kids disappearing, no one seemed to be alarmed that much about anything that's happening. The big hint is the red sink scene, where the girl's dad can't see the red bloody toilet, but the kids can.

Honestly, this was a fantastic episode! Just want to add that I’m totally like Kaloko. I grew up in a typical Filipino household and had so much pressure to get good grades which I did, but still got punished for very small things. I wouldn’t change it though bc I feel it all mounds you to the person you become today.
