I just completed my deloreon build. I just wanted to thank you, Wayne. I watched every video of this build that you put out before attempting it myself to avoid any pitfalls, and absorb any pearls of wisdom that you dropped. It was something I always wanted to attempt but never thought I could do something nearly this intricate or detailed. Watching you do this inspired me to see it through to the end and the finished version came out nearly perfect. I’m so impressed that I could see it through but thinking it was even possible started with you. You have a great attitude and appreciation for this hobby, and definitely saved me more then a few headaches. I’ve just began the Ecto-1 and you’ll be walking me through that one as well. Please keep doing what you’re doing. I know others have their channels doing this but YOU are my Go To resource on these builds. Thanks Mate!
This is such a beautiful model but it has let itself down on so many ways, I am glad you found the 3rd party mods to bring it upto what it should have been from the start.
Agreed. Plus I couldn't afford the mods and even if I could have I wasn't taking it apart again to accommodate them. Shame.
Hi Wayne, brilliant reveal and fully concur with all your comments. You being the pathfinder really helped in highlighting potential pitfalls and avoided many mind numbing dismantles to add mods and fixes. Thanks for all your help along the way bud and achieving a final model to be proud of. Looking forward to following you with the Terminator.

I'm almost sad it's finished as I loved watching you're take on the model making process with EM's DeLorean and it will save me time having watched your out falls when I start mine.
I now have all the issues, just waiting for some replacements for damaged issues and I'm good to go.
Haven't bothered with the extended bit, they've had enough cash from me 🤪
Thanks a lot for everything Wayne. You have helped me on some issues so far. Seeing the model ahead of ours really helps me plan ahead. In Mexico we are at issue 50 so still a long road ahead.

It looks like a beautifully detailed model but ~$1,700 total cost is insane! More so, I'm not a fan of the subscription process. Just sell me the whole kit with all the parts at once. I don't want to spend 3 years building a model car!

I used canopy glue to stick my lids on as they wouldn't stay in place. Glad you got to the end. Although I am not going on beyond 130 I will still watch to see what the remain 30 odd extension issues will bring
yep I gave up on Eagle moss and switched to Deagostini. now building Yamaha bike,1967 Mustang and jsut started Milleneium Falco using ParGraflex photoetch as well. Get er done on HMS Victory

I'm in the 20s somewhere with Fanhome. The kit is great, but far from perfect. The one issue I have is how the wheels in hover mode basically flop down and are supported by a single joint, when on the actual car there is a larger assembly that goes from the body to the wheels. I don't know if they came up with a way to do this, or if we are stuck with it. Also, in hover mode the tires don't simply tilt down, but come out horizontally then tilt down.

I defo will be. As it will be getting relaunched as online only in6months time. Normally i wouldn't but i sadly missed out on EM's1:8th DB5in 2010as i was still signing+i didn't get my part-time paid job with LMUK Amptill until mid May2011. So i couldn't even pay forra Weekly WH Smith's personel folder or putta1off deposit down as well. +i ain't gnna miss out on their1:8th DB5 a2nd time. So we're looking at Jan2020for their relaunch of that excellent car

Such an awesome build and a great looking car but I really do think eaglemoss are taking advantage of their subscribers. But, in the next breath I can’t wait for your next projects to be completed (i.e. the terminator and Bismarck).
Very nice series of videos Wayne. It was entertaining to watch my favorite movie car be built from the ground up presented in quality by such a likeable guy. I still don't think I'll be subscribing to the build myself for all the problems you pointed out along with the cost, I'd rather put my money towards getting real Delorean parts ;) All in all though I'm glad I found your channel for this build, looking forward to watching the extended issues you cover, even though Eaglemoss is really stretching them out so far. Other than that, take care :)
I did notice some of the apertures in the uranium rod containers weren't central. it of a whoopsie when it should just be the same part replicated.
Looks like you got some stickers starting to peel off of some of the pipework Wayne.

Hindsight would say to leave them off. Mine are coming off too.
At the end of 159 you can put up the "to be concluded" card from 2 and for 160 you can put the "the end" card from 3. Assuming they don't extend it again.

I have up to issue 104 and issue 105 due out tomorrow dont like my chances. I'm still doing R2D2 and Thunderbird 2 and others but i seem not interested in doing any at this stage. Just watching everone else's.
Ive been talking with that model company about doing a Titanic subscription model.
Great job Wayne, it looks awesome, like you, I have also had problems with this, I hope eaglemoss pull it together for the Ecto 1.
I unsubbed about issue 90 and just bought in bulk off the webstore as they went up about 10 issues at a time. Have issues 110-129 under my desk will get round to finishing it eventually.
I’m almost done with mine. 126-129 just shipped. I’m still waiting on my Xmas Tree mod, though. Also, Eaglemoss still owes me about ten issues.

Wayne, I wished this model was up to the price. I would probably buy it for just the pleasure of building the perfect model. It was is what it is, a complete rip off that shows the world just how far a corrupt company will go to get your last penny. I will watch your other builds because you are a likable guy and your session are enjoyable to watch. Keep smiling, enjoy and have fun.

Totally agree with you bud. Great model. But a total RIP OFF price. All these weekly magazine model companies are the same. Ultimately, not worth the money, unless you can spare £30 to £40 a month. I know I cant spare that much myself for sure.

is it me or would the eaglemoss delorean look sick driving around with RC components? like not a high powered brushless system, but just for cruising around at RC shows and stuff? the scale realism of eaglemoss models would make great Slow RC cruisers for RC shows!

Looks so good with the upgraded capacitor and tree sad my budget couldnt run to those but hey its still an incredible model. If I ever get the replacement parts that is, (Long story) as half of my lights dont work stuck at bolting top to bottom stage till fit new control unit!

Awesome job Wayne. The car really is beautiful.....just a shame eagle moss did such a poor job at times. My original plan was to build the Delorian after I finished R2.....but after seeing the flux and Christmas tree I decided I couldn’t support eagle moss....and yes I know the wonderful mods exist, but that isn’t the point. I am much happier building the terminator....much better quality (so far).

@Reaper One Nope. Still didn't stop me building it though. Ha Minus the extra issues. Then again I bought both the display base and case too along with a few other accessories.

You can use ordinary PVA Glue... It dries clear ( Not your Gorilla Glue, as I'm pretty sure that's tinted)
I learnt that Canopy Glue really is just PVA.......

No. I just forgot to film it. It switched on with the flux bands
I know you did this build a couple years ago but I wonder if you had a problem with the magnets on the front wheels they seem very weak is there a fix
Mine fell off. I needed up gluing everything as I had no plans to have it in ‘take off’ mode

30 issues away from completing they went out of business. But mine doesn't work. Only brake lights and door lights work. Guess it'll never be finished.

Hello everyone. I am new to the Eaglemoss projects, but love the DeLorean. I also love the Ecto-1. Would either be a good starter car to begin the journey of collecting? Also, I have read a lot of complaints about the flux capacitor. Do I need to get mods first so they can be incorporated into this build? Thanks in advance =)
I would say ecto 1 is.more beginner friendly

Hi Wayne, just wanted your opinion on my build issue. I’m on issue 113 and decided to put the batteries in and test the lights and so I did and there’s nothing. Input in new batteries turned the switch on and pushed the buttons on the inside and not even a flicker of hope, ugh! Being this far along I’m am dreading taking this thing part, any suggestions to try?

So simple to me first why can’t a get whole kit at one time with each magazine being like 10 bucks and 130 the price is what $1300 no joke I’ll pay $150 for it easy but 1300
Do the issues come each week or you get four of the issues and parts each month? Also can I order more than one issue to start?.....like I to order the first 16 issues lol.
I've been picking mine up from my local store weekly. Towards the end of the build they started sending 6 issues every 6 weeks to subscribers so I think it can be requested.
