I missed this movie so much! I forgot how much Steve Martin was a part of my childhood. Cheaper by the Dozen, Pink Panther, Father of the Bride, all great movies
You guys should definitely check out Father of the Bride with Steve Martin in it. (Martin Short is also in it!) There's also a sequel to it. It's really good. @@samandmariachannel
Depending on where you grew up, a clam bake is either a term for a seafood-only neighborhood party, or it’s a literal term for a get-together where giant pits are dug in the sand/dirt, lined with seaweed or racks, and then massive amounts of clams are dumped in the pits and steamed. Some clam bakes also steam other seafood like lobsters, muscles, crabs, etc, and vegetables in with the clams. When I was in 6th or 7th grade I read the Young Adult mystery Playing Murder by Sandra Scoppettone, which actually has a clam bake party play a role in the story. I’ve wanted to go to a clam bake ever since. They sound like a lot of fun with awesome food. Plus most are held close to the water and at night. Which is always so peaceful to me. Love watching the water at night. My best friend’s family used to have a clam bake several times a year but I was never invited. He’d tell me about the party afterward.
This is crazy to watch while I will be 8 months pregnant when my family (12 cousins, im the oldest) will go camping at a lake here in NY for Labor Day weekend😂
@@camronmoheng1157 right? Some of the ages are spot on and others are right there and it made it perfect! Like people forget the first Twilight movie was technically an Indie film. I wonder so much what the rest of the movie’s would have been like with Catherine Hardwicke getting to stay as director! Also it sucks Taylor had to fight for his role, like after the first movie they wanted to recast a 22 ur old but I’m so glad he fought for his role! Baby Jake is best Jake lol
The first one will always be iconic one but in my eyes this is a pretty good sequel. I love that’s it’s about summer vacation and it’s funny that Tom was competing with Jimmy’s family and I love that they brought back the whole Meat trick again 😄always again they show why family is important especially when Nora’s baby is born which was a sweet moment ❤️❤️ also it cool to to a young Taylor Lautner . Thanks for the reaction Sam & Maria 😊👍👍
I agree, it is a good sequel and I love the cabin in the woods atmosphere/set up. Oh no, not the meat trick 😂 Thanks so much for checking it out 😊✨ - Maria
"Life is a voyage that is homeward bound"~~~ ME & my brain: Oh~ Now I wanna watch Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey!~ Apparently, I feel like sobbing for hours?😅
Such a fun movie and such a great reaction! Love the 2000's Steve Martin movies! Pink Panther 1 & 2, Bringing Down The House are classics too! Always here to show love and support! :)
This was my favorite movie as a kid, I watched it every day sometimes multiple times a day (possibly also because I was living in a country where I didn't speak the language) but still just such a good movie
These movies are classic. Another Steve Martin movie you both would like is The Big Year (2011). One of my all time favourite movies. Very heartwarming & great cinematography. (Also has Jack Black and Owen Wilson)
This was my childhood, love seeing you guys react to it ❤ If you are taking recommendations and wanna watch a wholesome movie, I suggest the movie Flipped. Its really amazing and cute 😍
@@emmaflick2210 Ah ok at 2:40 for some reason on the first glance through I thought this was Dianna stealing the thunder from Hilary Duff's character's graduation 😅
Nice to see this pair of movies being reacted to, but I have to say it's a bit depressing when you guys analyse them so heavily and criticise every single tiny little thing every character does that isn't perfect! For these films in particular, they are focussed on imperfections and they are so well loved because of the love and family wholesomeness they portray so well - yes of course some things are massively exaggerated for the comedy and Steve Martin is so hilariously OTT - but then analysing that like it's a serious issue is just strange and kinda sucks the fun out of it. The other thing is criticising a father for being concerned about his 12 year old daughter being out on her own on a first date - I think this is probably one of the better bits of parenting Steve did (obviously not the OTT-ness of it for the comedy!) - I mean the fact he was worrying and couldn't relax until he knew his very young daughter was home safe later on. That's not a bad thing - that shows he cares! I'm left with the same slightly unsatisfied feeling I was after you guys watched the first in this pair of films - did you actually enjoy it? Because maybe it's just the TH-cam edit, but it genuinely felt like you were spending the whole time just searching for every tiny little fault you could instead of enjoying the OTT comedy and the family wholesomeness of it - I feel like there were so many non issues that you kind of created as well - just can't see how you possibly could have genuinely enjoyed it based on all the criticisms. Which is sad, because these are wonderful films.
I missed this movie so much! I forgot how much Steve Martin was a part of my childhood. Cheaper by the Dozen, Pink Panther, Father of the Bride, all great movies
god yes, they need to react to all of those, somehow these are some of my comfort movies
Similar for me, all those movies were on TV all the time, classics 😊 - Maria

I have this over the first one, i just love the summer cabin vibe
I'm with you! Love that vibe, I'd just substitute the lake with a river 😊 - Maria
Cheaper by the dozen films & night at the museum films are my comfort films.
Totally fair - Maria
This movie was 3 yrs before twilight, so Taylor was only 13 here and transforms to Jacob at just 16😳
I know, I was a bit shocked by that while watching the movie 😄 - Maria
Nora met a great guy. Her last BF was an ass😂😂
It does seem so 😊 oh yeah, for sure - Maria

Dick Butkus is a famous NFL linebacker. That's why Tom keeps saying how's my linebacker 😂😂
Love these movies lol they mad heart warming and I can’t believe how fast Taylor sprouted up in 3yrs!! Lil baby boy was only 16 in twilight lol
Haha same. I know, right? The difference between here and Twilight is significant 😄- Maria
The fact that the casting was age accurate is somehow so bizzare when you really thing about it.

I had a massive crush on Taylor Lautner in this movie.

The second movie is fantastic and a great wrap up to their stories. I honestly cried at the end of this movie😂
I completely forgot the entire plotline of this movie til I saw the thumbnail lol

Hurting pretty badly. Just trying to get through till I can sleep. It was nice to pass some time with this. Thank you both.
I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope you can get to sleep peacefully.
Good to hear our video helped - Sam
@samandmariachannel thanksforthe thought. My sleep wasn't peaceful, but it helped. I feel like a mostly functional person today.

Lol. I just looked. The twin boys Kyle and Nigel Baker played their characters is Knocked Up.😅 Now I gotta re-watch that.
Oh really? I know them from Desperate Housewives, what a drama. Miss it sometimes 😁 - Maria
This was a genuinely good sequel and was seriously underrated honestly. Thanks for reminding me of it!
It is good, didn't know it was underrated. I'm used to seeing both movies on TV all the time 😄

I like that they addressed the makeup thing. Its a ton of pressure and in the end...boys are going to see you without it at some point. 😂

Yeees, I've been waiting for this one
The wild laughter followed by “not cool 😐” your actions and your words aren’t exactly matching there, Sam 💀
I can be a little self contradictory sometimes 😂 - Sam
I’m still holding out hope that there will be a third one!
That'd be cool, but hard to imagine what they could do at this point - Maria
You guys should watch Yours Mines Ours which is similar to this series plus it has Dennis Quaid
That'd be cool 😄 - Maria
yall should react to the movie The Darkest Minds, its right up y’all alley
Haven’t heard of it so I can’t make any guarantees, but we can look into it. For now though, we already have the next 10 or so movies lined up 😊 - Sam

✋😂 - Maria
Did they change the actress for oldest sister from the 1st film? It wasn't always the "Quinn Fabray Glee" actress?
Nope. All the kids are the same
Piper Perabo played the oldest sister in both movies. Dianna Agron (who played Quinn Fabray) is not in these movies at all
