And for the benefit of people who don't know what's going on in the UK it's worth noting that there are scooter gangs who steal small motorbikes and scooters then use them for snatch & grab thefts on busy streets. So this was likely part of a larger operation.

For anyone in the area wanting chicken, There's a smaller family owned southern fried chicken place in the high street and their chicken recipe outshines the colonel by a clear mile. Also this video is a good 5 years old now so I'm thinking that most of the people involved in the video no longer work there. Our many, varied regional accents and local dialects make it difficult for others to understand us. I remember hearing the story of an old man who emigrated here from India when he was young. In preparation for his new life he studied English so that he could look for work and find a place in the community. Then he headed for his new home. In Birmingham. He said he was convinced that he’d been taught the wrong language because he couldn’t understand a word that anyone said!

14:46 - Someone with equestrian experience here. It's only a half-truth. Horses require about 3 hours of sleep, but they can only achieve a deep REM sleep when laying down which usually happens in a few episodes over 24 hours. They don't need a lot of REM sleep but it's still important that they do get this; in herds you'll see this kind of behaviour where some are alert and others rest.
It's kinda cool though, they have a special mechanism in their stifle to keep them upright as they lightly dose throughout the day. They'll typically only lay down when they feel safe and content since that's when they're most vulnerable.
As for human names.... LOL. The yard I spent years at had..... quite a few with human names. There was Colin, Rhys (welsh male name), Rodney, Megan, three different Harry's, Fred, Jack, Amber, William. Steve would have fit in perfectly. lol

Very interesting, thank you. Some birds have a thing where their brain basically cycles so part of the brain is in a deep sleep while other parts are awake. This allows the big seabirds to stay aloft for days at a time. Bird brains are probably a lot less complex than horse brains, though.

Seeing someone standing in a doorway watching a game: "he's gonna jump".
Seeing a car rolled over after hitting a verge: "has anyone turned the 'soft verges' road sign into a slow-motion animation?"
Drinking in public spaces in the UK is allowed unless there is a (very) local 'law' prohibiting it.
A lot of streets (and a park) in Central and West Watford (including my street) are subject to a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) - an order that can be made by a local authority under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. An alternative to a PSPO is a local byelaw (the Act says a PSPO supersedes a byelaw that forbids the same thing in the same area whilst the PSPO is in effect). Basically, if I step from the threshold of my neighbour's* front garden onto the street with an open container of alcohol, I could face up to a £500 fine (or arrest) if (a) certain people (e.g. a police officer) ask me to stop drinking and I continue to do so, or (b) certain people (e.g. a police officer) ask me to surrender all alcohol and I refuse to do so.
    * I had to double-check the specific PSPO - it doesn't apply outside my or my immediate neighbour's house as it stops at the side street a few houses away.

I remember my american friend nearly had a heart attack when i walked across the road to talk to my mum with a pint of cider in my hands breaking 2 nonsensical restricted americans laws. Greeting the people while hiking here is definitely important just because if youre in the middle of nowhere you want to show your not a threat. We dont really go for hikes on 'trails' like you guys in america do, not that there isnt trails oc, its just often times you just make your own way, sometimes tracks and made by people, animals , or youre just walking up the side of a mountain with no real path at all.
