I really like the explanaition Yuyu gives for Esperaridea. The idea of accepting everything you've been rather than casting away your past self. It also makes sense why its called overDress now. Really great season. Very excited for season 3.
What does Dressboost represent?
@@anonnimoose7987 my theory is that dressboost is about having someone backing you up when you need it the most through thick and thin. Especially with mirei who hated the world because no one was there to really help her and the person she thought did care abt her was presumed dead. her entire arc is abt her being able to have fun with people who care abt her, disability or not, and has her back and who she can trust.

I love how they didn't make it end with his strongest unit. It shows how far he has made but never threw away his past and used his original card to finish it off. Season 2 is truly the best.
overDress Season 2 has been incredible from start to finish.
Every Monday I looked forward to the episodes airing, and couldn't wait to see the plot develop and the new cards get revealed.

I like how Mirei place the cards not in exact place since she's unable to see. the attention to details is what makes me want to pickup Vanguard
Nah its because of bavsagra and her arms card which couldnt fit the VG circle so they had to expand the boundary circle so the RG arent.. exactly at their circle

I really hope bushiroad releases the soundtrack for overdress, the battle themes are amazing to listen to, and helped make you feel how the players are feeling

That was such a great conclusion to the story. All the story beats in Yu-yu and Mirei's fight made a lot of sense emotionally, and getting the final damage through with Trickstar was a really nice touch!
Kept hearing about how good Season 2 was and after binge watching it over the past couple of days, I can see why. More cardfights, more strong emotional beats and holy cow the soundtracks are absolute bangers! Overall a huge improvement, thank you for a great season. Looking forward to Season 3!

@@Zekrom997 I too was at first but after 1st Ep of season 1 I just know she was gonna be a Danji simp so bad so I ditched that ship. But now we got a better ship and I'm proud
You can tell there was a lot of love and dedication put into this show and, while I wasn't sold on S1 nor on the initial S2, I'm happy with how Overdress turned out, it really became one of my favorite vanguard seasons ever.
Also, I love the detail of how the cards played by Mirei are slightly off center from the VG/RG circles because, of course, she's blind. It's just details like that that are awesome.
The best episode yet especially Bushiroad did Yu-Yu clean with his kindness against Mirei. The ending of it is very satisfying after Mirei's soul is healed through a wonderful cardfight. And once again Yu-Yu's journey still continues as Season 3 is announced and it's gonna be lit as ever and I can't wait to watch this one.
I can't believe the next antagonist will be Hiroshi Tanahashi using Touken Ranbu. I'm really looking forward to season 3.

Honestly this show needs more keter sanctuary users I mean why make Tohya the only one? In fairness, they should add more fighters for keter sanctuary so that Tohya wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Also, they should give lyrical monasteria a debut in the anime along with the other decks for the game we didn't see in the show like flagrburg and hexaorb

If you pay attention to what Masanori said, Daybreak is not the first did something bad like banner burning
So after watching episode 20, I guessed Masanori has something to do with the villain in season 3. Maybe I am wrong, but I really think this guess is reasonable because we don't know much about him. Even after episode 22

I loved that the original opening from Season 1 Zeal of Proud,, came back as this episode's Ending song
Feels appropriate as this is like the end of the first 'arc' or story.
Good ep. Yu-Yu pulling an Aichi moment but in his own way was really cool. I always love it when someone brags then looses and has to learn a hard lesson XD.
I've been loving Overdess even with the few hiccups and me wishing they had more time to explore somethings the emotional parts of this show are absolutely amazing. Trickstar flying into Merei's heart to deliver the final blow was one of the most cute and wholesome things ever.
Thanks bushiroad, I haven't had this much fun watching since Link Joker, it's probably cuz of the fresh characters. Despites it's flaws I bloody loved this new era of vanguard, ohhhh damn I can't wait for set 4 in english and season 3

Ngl. A lot of people, including me doubted OverDress season 1 and how it was gonna go. I enjoyed it as a vanguard player but the story was very linear. But season 2 proof me wrong, it was one of the best if not the best card game anime ever. Hope more people come to watch from when Bushi sponsored Gigguk lol.
People were complaining about season 1 while me and others knew it was more of an introductory season to develop the plot towards season 2. I'm glad that some people didn't gave up after season 1 and enjoyed season 2

This season had me coming back each Monday full of excitement I was actually hype to see this today
Yup this season was a blast and the final episode was amazing. During the fight I couldn't tell who would win, especially with Mirei's 6th damage Overtrigger, Yu-yu finishing the fight with trickstar was probably one of the best moments in Vanguard. Also I kinda like the fact Mirei used up all of her heals and over trigger, similar to Ren in Link Joker during his fight against Kai. Another thing is I'm kinda glad Mirei and maybe Haruka have changed for the better by returning the banners. As for this season it started off calm but the fights got more and more intense, the animations got better and developed most of their characters. And the set up for season 3 leaves you with questions, what's Masanori's true goal ?
Overall this season is 8/10 it has minor problems but it's definitely better than V aside from Shin's season.
Finally Yu-yu x Mirei, can't change my mind.

This season has been such a treat. I think they were perfectly able to balance the fights and animation here. I loved Bavsarga’s scene where she point blank blasted Yu-Yu and Nirvana and Vairina 2 v 1’ing her above Japan. I was able to enjoy this season so much more compared to the last one. I hope season 3 is just as good.

That esperaruidea explanation remind me of aichi when using Majesty Lord Blaster scene, without denying the dark side and accepting that both are himself. Kinda similar. Cant wait for season 3, really excited for this format.

I can totally see Mirei being a very "Ren-like" character for season 3, underneath her serious tone she's a fun-loving girl with no more burdens as the antagonist
Meanwhile, I expect to see High Schooler Yu-yu because OG Vanguard anime had season 3 started with the MC going into High School (Link Joker & G next).
But I wouldn't mind if we continue right after the Daybreak arc.

What a finale for Season 2!!! We got to see the G4's in action!! But most importantly, Yu-yu made Mirei smile!! Can't wait to see some fanart of the two together. I'll also buy the Start Deck 6. I want to use Bavsagara.

So gotta wait for 5 whole months to see what's sus on Masanori and it looks like there are multiple many Masanori like people who spy on teams and destroy them getting it all in one stone
5 whole months or maybe a little more since the studio behind the animation Kinema Citrus they had to reschedule The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 to make Vanguard Overdress season 2 so now The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 its set for 2022 same with Vanguard season 3 I love both animes but hope they focus in the rising of the shield hero season 2 now and make Overdress season 3 after that since Overdress already had season 2 and The Shield Hero many people including myself have been patiently waiting for the second season

Yes the studio delayed another of my favorite animes The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 to focus on Overdress season 2 so they will most likely focus in Shield Hero now and do Vanguard Overdress season 3 after that
Bravo for this episode. I must admit the fight was great! Also, even an attack from any LM unit cannot match how adorable that Trickstar attack was.
Easily among the top 5 seasons of Vanguard.
This season was very fun and exciting to watch. Not going to lie this season brought out a lot more to the story than other series and I wanna know where it'll end up.

This season overall has been amazing! I was so excited to watch every episode. I cannot wait for the next season!!!
The final fight really gives thrilling atmosphere. No talking about anything else just focus on the game. This what Vanguard Anime should be. Really reminds me of G Era. But at least Overdress give chance to my precious Nakashima Yuki to become wonderful and strong character for the series. AiAi as Tokoha, Kudoharu as Luna and now Yukki as Mirei. 3 of 7 members of Roselia come to Vanguard. What a bless

That fight was the best for this entire season it was so intense I like how Yuyu's turn when he rides Mahar Nirvana didn't end the fight immediately and gave Mirei realization of her mistakes, somehow it's like Kai VS Aichi in Link Joker, and how Yuyu portrayed Esperaridea's skill as accepting ones self throughout, it hit hard for me as I relate to this situation too, I didn't accept myself beacause of past mistakes but others help me realize it and awakened my new self. Anyways Overall, Awesome season at least this time you know what's going on in the Cardfight and the character development was really needed, So Big bad Masanori is at it again, and this time the antagonist might be a shut in just by seeing that scene alone, and were getting Season 3 next year, I kinda want to see more of Mirei next season to see how she is.

Por fin Yu-yu y los escritores recordaron él es el prota, que en lo que va de esta temporada andaba ausente. Qué buena frase dice, no hay que olvidar ni renegar de lo que fuimos, aceptación, aprender del pasado y mejorar es lo idea.
Hoy Mirei sonó más egoísta que nunca a lo "si no puedo ser feliz, otros no lo harán" porque "yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo". Vaya visión bizarra lo de su mundo ideal a costa de los demás.

Edit: Fue una buena 2a temporada, nos vemos en la tercera!! Hacia décadas no veía un anime y este lo he disfrutado mucho, qué bueno me dio curiosidad de verlo tras enterarme los diseños eran de CLAMP, como bien dije, vine por CLAMP pero me quede por Yu-yu.

I love they add in some little detail on Mirie's board like her card is not on the right spot due to she unable to see, so she used her feeling to put the card on the estimated spot. Overall, I feel blessed to jump back to the vanguard series anime again.
P.s Love current format feel a bit ok not overwhelming like in V series

Well Kinema Citrus will focus now on the rising of the shield hero season 2 since they had to delay it for 2022 because of Overdress season 2 so after that they will start overdress season 3 honestly I love Overdress but The Rising of the Shield Hero its also one of my favorites so been patiently waiting for it

You know I'm seeing a lot of season 3 talk so... I hope we get a tournament arc. Just in some way like the other seasons have, I feel like we have some loose ends to fill out like Danji's familiy finding out he's alive. I feel like a tournament (if it's like a big broadcasted one) could be a great arc and also help get peoples names out into their world (cough Danji joining and then the family finds out). And I mean every vanguard incarnation has had one and OverDress hasn't yet so I'm betting on what! What do you think?

The fight was epic and the ending was sweet, Trickstar was adorable :). I also liked the hint about the third season. However, this series feels a little bit rushed. I think they could have combined the first and second season into one.
