@Justin Mott ...I'm a bit of a bag GAS person, and I use purely camera oriented bags, but I do love to use interchangeable inserts in basic canvas bags when away as they less obvious. I do how ever still own my one and only Billingham bag that I bought back in 1989 ... It was the 445, and built to last. Fast forward to 2024 and I have now joined the ranks of another brand associated with quality and build standards, as I now own a Leica M6 Titanium thsnks to me winning it in a prize draw run by Leica Hunter Competitions, so I might end up selling to 445 to fund the purchase of a 28mm Voightlander (I'm on a low wage in the UK) lens to go with it. Keep up with the great videos ...
While I have a Tenba photo backpack for my medium format Fuji landscape gear, I have two Billingham Hadleys for my street/walking about stuff. I bought them both years ago but think the small one is called the "small" unsurprisingly and the larger one is the Hadley Pro. They don't have the luggage pass through strap or the ability to attach pouches but they are both Fibrenyte and look almost brand new. I suspect they will outlast me. Expensive but like most things in life, you get what you pay for.
What is it about photographers and bags...?! Oh my... I could happily buy/try one every week of the year... The Billingham Hadley is my classy bag, a few old LowePro bags for work, ThinkTank belt bag stuff for now. Oh, and the ancient canvas Domke, a classic.
If my carrying one camera , one lens I go for a black Billingham Hadley small , slightly more kit I use the medium Wotancraft Trooper , if I'm going to shoot in any area I don't know well I use a beat up looking Wotancraft Scout
Wotancraft pilot series are the best. I’ve tried everything including Artisan & Artist which are superb but Wotancraft still wins, especially for Leica gear.
For anyone looking, please check out the DOMKE lineup. Originally designed for working photojournalists, nothing beats the Domke F2 Series, IMO. I've used one professionally since 1978. The Ballistic F-2B can hold 2 pro bodies, 2 pro zooms, and 2 speedlights, all internally. It is FAST to access, weather-resistant, and offers full-size end pockets (padded inserts available) plus a handy zippered compartment inside the top flap. Can anyone recommend a nice SMALL bag, suitable for an M-body and 2-3 lenses? Most of these seem far too big for tiny M-glass. Ideally, I'd just go out with an M and a 35 Cron, unless I was Justin ;-) and had a Lux...
@ JK Lockwood, I also use the F2 for my dslr's and everyday work, but just got the Domke F-5XB for when I want to travel light. It holds my M10, 2 or 3 lenses, and a small flash. You may want to have a look at that one!
I love the wandrd bag as well. It’s great if you think you’re going to experience any weather at all - the thing is bomb proof. For something more casual I fall back on the old Filson Heritage Sportsman bag. Doesn’t draw a lot of attention but it’s got some style.
I just throw my camera in a bagpack. I had ordered the Hadley Pro 2020 but after one month stuck at cumstoms I cancelled my order. A few days ago it arrived anyway. Now I'm thinking about keeping it.
For me its the ONA Bowery. Its Perfect for my Leica Q1 and my m10 with a 50 summicron Attached. Still some place left for The Chargers and Batteries. Cheers from Swizerland :)
Want Wotancraft Pilot but in their small Trooper size. sucks they don't offer L M and S in Pilot but maybe some day. Also love all these vids but please move light source or paint that damn security screw on the lower left of your frame on the wall black or "fake concrete grey" already. (that's a deep cut ref so ya know i am a sub 4 life) Maybe i am just anal but super distracting in frame to see that shiny dot every single time. LOL just busting balls and poking fun and yes still need to go to site and support. going to look at prints this weekend or book a sessh so you can afford some paint. Keep um coming. always enjoy.
My goodness, how you noticed that is beyond me, you have a great eye for detail, hope you do some product photography. I'm from the Northeast in the US so of course, bustin balls is allowed, love it :). Funny story about that screw, frames are made so cheaply here in Vietnam that often the wire that holds the frame falls apart and then the frame falls off the wall so we put screws underneath them as extra support, even if they are an eye soar. I appreciate the support, would be awesome to do a session and yes obviously buy a print, it's a no brainer :).

Thanks so much, need to get to Sweden some day :).

I don’t know Andrew but it never seems to end.
I lost count lol
Nice bags. Like the Wotancraft. Use the Tropper and the Easy Rider Sling 😉
Thanks Alexandra , love those bags you mentioned as well. If you get a chance to visit their shop in Taiwan you’ll love it.

They really do rock , Wotancraft is my jam :)

I second that about the Domke, I had a canvas Domke for years and it was one of my favorite bags ever. Thanks for your input JK.
Still got and use my Domke f2 from the 70s..

@@lexkleren use that F5XB for a Fuji Xpro1 and a 24mm. Small and rugged.
Thanks for the info, do you have any video/info about the all leather bag we see in your wall?
Also the PRKVK great pair with the wotancraft bag for a easy 2 bag 2cam carry -amazingly easy carry for the ‘stuff’ that must go w you…
Wotancraft all the way - on your recommendation btw…. Nice gear, like that its not rigid. Very good customer service too.
They are good people, if you get to Taiwan you must visit their store, it’s awesome.

Agreed, I’m into Filson bags as well :)
Great vdo again nice detail and compression 😊
Can an ipad 12.9 be fit in the Wotancraft 7l?
Would be cool if Billingham releases a backpack!
I love my Domke bag!
The Domke love here is making me miss my old black canvas beauty.
This is a dangerous video bro. I have serious bag gas. Not just camera bags too. All kinda bags. That Wotencraft pilot looks great..
I’m kinda hooked too Alex. The Wotancraft Pilot series is pretty incredible, check it out.
your apartment is so dark or the camera setting.I usually have to increase the screen brightness.
What’s your favorite camera bag?

I tried a lots of bags but my alltime favourite is the domke f2, it was the first camera bag ever, and still a great choice!
For me its the ONA Bowery. Its Perfect for my Leica Q1 and my m10 with a 50 summicron Attached. Still some place left for The Chargers and Batteries. Cheers from Swizerland :)
I’m a Domke fan too, that was my first true camera bag and I loved it, especially after it broke in over the years.
I’m not familiar w that one , I’ll definitely check it out though.
overwerth harry & sally
I’ll check them out, thanks for your input Yeon.

Nothing from Peak Design !!! That really pissed me off
I love the concept of their bags functionally but I don’t dig the style of them.
Bag made for that Peter McKinnon with his name on it. The only benefit is if you lose your camera gear it will be posted to Peter McKinnon. 😂

Ha ha good point.
The absolute ugliness of these bags explains Peak Design’s success…
I couldn’t disagree more but to each his own.
