Hello and Welcome
For all of those who have had issues with OBS NDI and TELEPORT not working as they should, and those whom I have helped. Here is a video of the very best way to get OBS NDI and OBS TELEPORT to work properly.
If you set up your computer and have the FIREWALL turned on you might have some communication issues. Most of the time this can be resolved by simply allowing your firewall access to the application so that it can send and receive communication outside of your PC.

Main pc didnt have obs studio at all in /out ... after adding both to pc2 got picture... thnx

That’s unfortunate,……sometimes if you put all the rules right on your pc firewall the port may not be open on your router,……i would say for some of the others that still have this issue check and make sure your router also has the port you are using unblocked
I'm looking for help with blank screen, not the source not showing on the list... So this was a clickbait for me... I will still check the firewall settings, but I believe I have them right...
2nd PC shows up on the list for me but when I select it, it's just blank screen...
I confirmed on the first PC that when I select it's own source on teleport then it displays the expected view. But not on the other PC even if the source is on the list and can be selected...

Ok, I was half-wrong.
Issue on my side was that the outgoing PC had no firewall rule for OBS at all. Neither for outgoing nor incoming rules. I had to add it.
Ok so you can see the source in the second pc? That usually means there is a port/firewall mis-configuration or you need to open the port on your router. Looping back or trying to see teleport on itself will always show. One question you have teleport on active for sending correct ?

I'm not seeing my gaming pc on my recording pc. Could that be the problem? If so, how do I correct it? Both systems are setup for streaming through windows, both systems can see my media server. Both systems can stream from my media server as well.
@@georgemitchell2288 this issue usually ends up being a firewall issue,……..try turning off both firewalls and only check marking one device as the sender of the feed,……
Well, I could see the teleport connection before all this, but it came in black. After following this precisely on both PCs, now it doesn't see the connection at all.
Well that’s a first you did both incoming and outgoing on both pcs correct
Okay, got the connection back, but it's still just a blank black screen.

@julianneandrews1356 usually this happens because of 1 the firewall or 2 the port is blocked on your router/switch

@G.E.T Both, I guess. I notice there's a slight delay from the teleport obs to main obs by moving through my game's menu.
I scroll up on my teleport side, and maybe have a second later it'll reach my main obs. Hopefully I'm making sense of it.
Ok so you can add both audio and video delays with obs audio can be done in advanced audio properies and then setting an ms delay to the audio,.....for video that could depend on your network,.....but if you go into the filters in obs on your video souce you should be able to add compensation for the delay
Why would someone want hardware over this method?
For example, I stream "high resource" software streams.
Do I record hit record on my second pc or on my main? Does hardware change this?
Good question,….there is a latency associated with this that goes along with your NIC and network along with the sending and receiving pc. If all of these things are robust you can use other just fine for 4k or higher if it’s just 1080 shouldn’t be a big issue with lower hardware. But dedicated hardware does have the advantage of doing encoding on the device and not having draw on your network

@@TheZenYuzu if your network has a gb switch not so much,….and you have a part of your network segmented for just the streaming you could make it work quite well,….ive done both,…..your resolution well also come into play but it can work quite well
it did not work for me. I dont understand because last week it was still working for me but suddenly its not.

same issue happened to me - similar timeline. updated obs, removed/re-added teleport .dll to plugins folder, removed/created new firewall rules for obs and teleport... obs on each machine only shows its own teleport (does not show the other pcs teleport source)

Hmmm what port are you using and is it block led on your router? Every one of these i have seen that “still dont work” have been a firewall or router issue where the port is blocked
@@G.E.T it did pop up on the wrong pc when i added teleport there as a new source, as a test but that is the pc i want to send the signal from
on the left upper corner on the laptop i want to stream from in the soursce there is a red dot i can not move it but when i put the mouse over it my mouse indicate that i can enlagre it , but it will not
Reverse the feed turn off teleport sending on the one computer and then turn it on on the other,….should have it installed on both pcs

The issue I am facing, If i am gauging this right, is that my teleport doesn't seem to pick up the other PC? I don't know why this is as it has previously worked in the past. I have tried ever troubleshoot possible and unfortunately I have made no progress. This includes this troubleshooting video. I am desperate for any assistance.
Discord and i can walk you through it sometime,…..usually it is one of 2 things a router (your isp is blocking) or a firewall issue
@G.E.T holy crap! Yes this is my exact last thought. Catch is I had internet service not but several days ago!
I am just not sure how to traverse communicating the problem as it is difficult for me to understand why that is happening

it keeps asking for the stream key when i start stream on the gaming pc
If you’re on a 2 pc setup and you are sending your video feed to your streaming pc there is no reason to start a stream on your gaming pc???
@@G.E.T that's how it was saying to send the feed by clicking start stream in a video I watched so how do I do it?
@Vimdarocksteadykingslasher ok if you are on a 2 pc setup and you are sending the feed from your gaming pc to your streaming pc over NDI all you need to do it make sure you have the ndi checkbox checked on your gaming pc then make an ndi video source on your streaming pc and it should pick up the feed,…..if you click on the streaming button in obs it is going to send the feed to something using rtmp,….like twitch or youtube

@ladyworden ok,,…..discord is usually the best way to speak about this as it is more real time that being said are you using your isp router or one that you purchased
I am using an ISP router. I can definitely talk over discord after I get off of work today around 5:30 Central Time.
Hi I'm so sorry to ask you these I know a lot of people are struggling so much, but this is my lasts hopes, I've tryed all the things in the video few times, uninstall OBS on both of my devices and reinstall them, uninstall Teleport and reinstall, opened the port on both machine even two different and it didn't work.. For the context I use one Laptop and one Wacom Mobile Studio Pro, the first time I've putted Teleport everything worked well and it has detected both part of the device, I even runned a Live and during the Live the connection got lost and everything wasn't fonctioning at all anymore, after that i've tryed everything, and now the thing who's making me going crazy is that my Mobile Studio Pro detect my Laptop but the Laptop doesn't detect my Tablet ..
Do you have any help or information on that, i've seen that the port could be locked in your previous answers to other people ? Should I have to activate something ? ( I already activate the " Media streaming" )..

PS : I also have an issue while OBS is open on my Mobile Studio pro, sometime for 1 second the entire screen turn black for no reason and I don't know how to fix this ..

I did everything that was in the video but it still doesn't show on my laptop, I'm trying to stream it from my desktop to my laptop. Is there any tips that could fix that? I could see the IP from my desktop to my laptop but i don't see the IP from my laptop on my desktop for some reason, could that be the reasoning?
I had the same problem, you must activate Media Streaming (i'm not sure in English is that) and it worked for me (on both pc's)
Teleport 0.7.0 is now out.
0.7.0 added a couple good things

The issue I am running into unfortunately is that, the option does come up in my teleport adding source option but it is still blank with no audio passthrough. Did you come across this by any chance?
Usually a blank screen with no audio comes down to one of 2 issues. Could be your firewall blocking the port or it could be you home network router/switch blocking the port
@@G.E.T It was an issue with my switch, it's working over wifi for now but it's not ideal. But thank you for the advise!
What was the issue with the switch? Was it an hdcp issue?
@@G.E.T I think it might be bandwidth, although the strength of the quality slider was set to 80, It would find the source pc in the list but wouldn't display video or audio. It was working fine before. It's a bit jank but because I am temporarily using wifi for both computers, I set up an Ethernet from one pc to the other and set each computer as a gateway to each computer with static IP. I have a share between the two computers where I move files across and the other thing I used it for was Teleport but it stopped working that way. I tried a switch but I think it's faulty, so I'll grab a spare from my office and try again. Not clear why it didn't work. I wonder if the adapter settings have anything to do with it.

Ok so firewall and your ISP router both have ndi unlocked correct
Ok so I restarted both my computer and ran obs in admin mode, created a new teleport on my second computer and now it works. Lets hope it stay like that 😅
@@mainz0254 damn restarts,….lol this happens to me at work alot too someone has an issue with their network or devices and as soon as they tell me the issue magically solves itself lol,…..glad you have it working and thanks for stopping by

@@G.E.T the connection is showing up in teleport but the stream is only black so ports shouldn't be the problem
