What people dont realize is the art of scratching diminished because the records being used are considered samples and could cost you. Getting all them cleared would leave you penniless nowadays.
Great interview. Tat was on point musically. I remember how upfront, intricate, dynamic Tat's cuts were. I listened to track "certified dope" over and over for the parts he's cutting up "pick up the pieces".
One of my idols back when I was DJ ing…him ,Cashmoney, and of course The Great Jazzy Jeff…..and all of them was from Philly…. These guys were like Jedi Masters to me. I was simply a Jedi knight.
Marley Marl left Pop-Art for the exact same "money" issues with the original members of what later became the Juice Crew that were on Pop-Art also, and ironically he did the same to them smfh
The question about Kwane didn’t really get addressed in this video. I’m assuming tatmoney got with Kwane after he left his old label. Looking forward to the next one.
I think the best love song steady did was wrong hole...a beautiful video to accompany that would of been lovely... could of been the next 'i need love' !

Cool C glamorous Life was the shyt until I realized he tried to diss EST for smashing the same broad without giving her the money and he had to pay to be with her 😂
Good interview. I would like to have heard Tat Money's thoughts on Steady B and Cool C going to prison for the 1996 bank robbery and murder of Philadelphia police officer Lauretha Vaird.
Steady B Bring da beat back Use me certified Philly classics
'Rockin Music' use to be my go to on that album, I was more beats oriented and loved the DJ parts of the jams.

He'd moved on to DJing for a polka dot MC called Kwame by then, the kid was pretty wack tbh but Tat Money stayed paid doing shows, thankfully.
