They charge the game when came out lol still have the cassette part of hip hop just give them the credit and respect that they deserve would love to see them perform 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
One of the few groups where the second album was better than the first.I thought the second album was really good. The age thing is believable he was a lot more advanced lyrically than even some of the ny rappers at the time.Ya see no one clowned the Fresh Prince that guy pen was crazy at that time as well not too many will admit it.I always thought Philly cats were nice as hell.
Im a 53 year old and I was a senior in High School when this album dropped. Im also from philly and braggin rights of how good the music was back then was major for me. Philly had arrived with a different flavor. EST is my top 10 of all time MC's. My favorite track from 3D was from the giddy up
I remember ChuckNice having the dope haircut wit the crazy lines on the side on the first album. He should have trademark'd that. Growing up @ 16 in the 90's were really fun.
I'm on day 4 of being laid up from surgery on my left wrist and have my hand and forearm wrapped just like Chuck's. Followed this here from the Greatest Man video, and as soon as his arm came up, I was like "sh** yeah!!". 😁 -Thanks for the interview. Like many here, I never would have pinned EST at being 16! That album cover always reminded me of the men on the posters in the salon windows downtown.
"Ya first saw, then dropped your jaw You didn't even know the ES was a young bull The way I roll makes you think I'm old So there's really no need for my age to be told" Three Times Dope - "Believe That"
Nah bro a few joints got broke on Arsenio and in living color. If the beat was fire even if we never heard it before. We was on it. Case in point. The rebirth of slick by Digable planets.
Shout out to CHUCK NICE. BOTH OF THEM. 😂 BACK THEN you HAD TO HAVE A STORY WITH YOUR RAP. Now days....its kill, guns, women rappers being proud to be SLUTS. YUCK.
I know my parents back in the day wasn't having it if they heard the word danm in a record we was in the house listening to they would tell us to turn that crap off
3XDope is one of the most underrated talents in hip hop history.....ESTs style and vocal delivery were second to none
