Wow, you really went through it! Well done. I’m doing the circuit clockwise in a couple of weeks. Hope I can keep the Khumbu cough at bay. Thanks for posting 🙏
I have watched a tonne of YT videos ahead of my EBC & Gokyo trip in Nov and I loved your warts and all travel diary of each day. You captured the highs and lows perfectly and tbh made me a little nervous about my upcoming trip 😅
Don’t worry! I am sure you will be great! I think the weather caused the biggest challenge for me! I have a friend who hiked it in May 2024 and she had beautiful weather!
Well done! Amazing video! I am doing the same plan next month. Think you got the altitude sickness as went to fast. My plan includes 2 acclimatisation days in both Namche and Dingboshe. Also I recommend Merino Wool instead of 16 pairs of underwear lol
Altitude sickness pills is very crucial to avoid spoiling your hikes at those high elevations. For me 1 pill a day after dinner from 3000 meters onwards
That’s brave and very encouraging. You never gave up. ❤. Congratulations. How essential is a sleeping bag. I am attempting solo in November. And want to keep weight at bare minimum. If possible also share food you carried or should have carried. And any other tips for solo success. I am slow trekker
Hello! Thank you so much! Sleeping bag is a MUST! It’s really cold in the teahouses. In terms of food-you can eat breakfast; lunch and dinner at teahouses. So you only need to carry snacks. For me; I don’t eat a lot during the day; but like to snack and have a variety. I would suggest some sweets (for when your sugar is low), nuts, dried fruit, etc. I forgot to mention hiking poles in my video-but definitely those as well!
I went in April 2023. the weather was really cold and snowing almost everyday. however, I met another girl who hiked it in April 2024. She said she had beautiful weather and no snow! So the weather really depends on the year! April is supposed to be a good time overall for trekking:)
Yes! I love solo trekking! It really is such a great experience. You will always meet people along the way as well! (Some treks you are never alone, and some you go longer periods without seeing someone. However, for this trek I still saw people everyday!) You will do great!
Thanks for sharing your journey, all the good and tough bits. 👏
Great video. It really gave a feeling of being there with you
You’re such a happy go person 😃
