Boy, girl, you did a work-out on that piece of art. I can see it was a lot of work but the end result is stunning. I love that you used the half beads to embellish the center. Stunning.🥰😊 Tfs.
Oh sweetie I didn’t know what I was going to use for the center until the very end, I had a bigger round mirror but it covered up so much of the wood and I was like..no way am I covering up any of the work I did 😂😂😂 thx so much 🥰🥰🥰
I applaud your dedication to your craft, this piece is beautiful. I would have to buy it at a fair, I don’t think I have the patience to recreate it. Knowing it was hand made and understanding the time it takes to create something like this would make it worth the price. Thank you for sharing.
Well there are projects that I try and say “oh wow that was fun I want to do that again” and then there are projects like this.. I am so proud of it! I definitely want to do more wall art with wood shims but I probably will never make another one of these!! 😁🥰
I've noticed lately that prices of shims, paint sticks and yardsticks I was used to buying for convenience have gone way up so now I'm paying more attention to what's available at DT, as well as the option of having wood cut at Home Depot. In my Southern CA area Home Depot seems to have better prices/services than Lowe's (for wood).

I love a mandala!! The mirror needed some kind of frame and I had half beads so that how that came about😁 it’s a solid piece, not crazy heavy but certainly not light!!
