If it's modified, you have to radically modify it to really get much more than $20K at an auction...they want 100% numbers matching, low milage, unrestored showroom condition original...plus it's a truck, so even if it weren't modded at all, it'll never be worth what a car is...and I say that owning a classic C10 that's been in my family since new...the market for trucks just isn't the same as for cars...likely never will be...
It's such a well kept pretty truck, but I'm more interested in the heavier duty c-20 3/4 ton & c-30 1 ton chevy longhorn pickup & 4 wheel drive model trucks with the longer 8 1/2' beds with longer 133" wheel base, yet I still like this 1967 to 1972 2nd generation.
Love it that's the truck that made me make my mind up about which truck I was going to work for winded up getting a 79 GMC stepside but I'm still dreaming about the 70 plus in commiefornia I wouldn't have to worry about smogging it !
When I turned 16 my dad gave me a 1972 chevy pick up with a 350 and 3 on the tree. He always buys a truck and keeps them for 10 to 12 years, but doesnt really drive it and the guy would wipe the motor down once a month. It was spotless. In 1982 I was a sophomore in high school and I just wanted a car. I wanted this monza that they put a 350 in, so I traded it. I basically blew it up and wrecked it within 2 years. Now I would give anything to have that truck. I wish I could go smack my 16 year old self In the back of the head
I love that body style...but the bad thing about it is rust!!!... I had a 1982 Silverado truck...hood, doors..finders and tailgate all full of rust....I can't see that price...I would only give him..4 thousand dollars for it...
$4K wouldn't even pay for the paint & trim package...I got nearly $10K in my suspension & 4 wheel disc brake conversion...you may have had a rust bucket, but this one's immaculate...every vehicle on the road that's made of metal can rust, but when properly restored & maintained, it'll last indefinitely...but if you're looking to only spend $4K, you'll always be in a rust bucket...
In '79 I bought a 10 year old C-10 . $800.00 . 307 c.i. 3 sp. all manual everything & no ac . Dark green . Spent it's last 8 years before I got it as an un registered farm use only truck . Bed was rotted from hauling manure . But only 18 K on the clock . Converted the column shift to the floor . Threw on some Hooker headers with Thrush mufflers bolted on at the collectors . No further pipe . Think I put about 60 -70 K miles on it . Then sold it for $ 400.00 in '82 . Ah memories .
I gifted my 71 Chevrolet pickup to a good friend a couple years ago. I miss it but I know he'll fix it up nice.
I expected that truck would have sold for much more. What a beauty!
Nah, what happens when you begin modifying a vehicle is you begin to shrink the market.
@@20alphabet it still was a nice vehicle modified or not!

For fewer people, yes.

Great video.
She sure was a fantastic looking truck!!
To the buyer that bought the truck, let me know when you're ready to sell it.
Tons in Mexico you can get for dirt cheap and bring them over to restore.
That is a beautiful truck it is what I want when I started driving but could buy one then or now.

Beautiful truck I help my dad as a kid restore my grandfather's 1968 or 69 don't recall ford f100
Awesome truck, interesting video, but we need way more details about the vehicle and way less auction time in these videos. Thx!
😍😍😍
Is this a short bed?
Why would you sell if it was in the family since new
Can someone tell me what color code ?

15K miles on it since complete off frame body restoration per the video.

Millenials
Gas prices aren't exactly low and people need money and they may not be able to afford a V8
