It would be horrible if you just needed to raise the oil level a little.that cencer would have stopped the spark i have this model thing wouldn't stay running hard to start i was so frustrated put more oil in it tip it back some turn switch back on and runs fine low oil censer .After a month bogging down took plugged spark arester off ran little better then started the boug down hurd a pop!black smoke came out look like it lunched something then started to run right again. mayby this will help someone!
Hey thanks for the video. I have a firman 2000 watt with no spark or weak intermitted spark , maybe 1 spark per pull. Followed your video and looked up module on ebay 39 bucks. Well just fir grins I plugged back in the old one and it started sparking again. Started up and ran by just disconnecting it. Strange huh? Oh well ill assemble back tomorrow. Thanks By the way I also have had the main brain in front cause no power but runs. Like 800 bucks for the part on a 450 generator. Dumb huh😂
first off.. you FORGOT to reconnect the wire on the on off switch.. and FYI it is NOT over revving . generators can run upto 5000 rpms to produce enough wattage
Sounds like you need to adjust the shifter linkage. In high gear the friction disk needs to ride on the outside of the metal engine disk to go fast Good luck. Glenn
Inverter is bad which controls the speed at 3600 rpm or 60hz you can manually control throttle. Look for burnt caps on the inverter you can change them with a little work even though they are epoxied on the board. It probably uses the same inverter as many other 2000 watt Yamaha clone generators.
These stupid China off brand inverter generators have most of the electronics built into the inverter module and a new module cost more than its worth. I learned quickly to hate these units and I never want to see another one. LOL

I have a snapper mower I changed the friction disk and it won’t drive fast also when I let off the clutch mower moves very slow

I’m a Small Engine Mechanic and see that you have never pulled a Firman apart you did just like any Mechanic would have done.

Check the CO2 SENSOR. If bad, the unit will not start.
That's a shame. Putting time and $ in to it.
