    This is great. I know it's an older video but so many people talk about sync music - do this, don't do that - but being able to hear music that was composed specifically for sync licensing is super beneficial.
    Of course TV shows and movies are a great source to hear what's being used but being new to sync licensing it's still a bit tricky trying to train yourself to ONLY listen to the music and NOT to watch the program or listen to the dialog. 😂
    Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    This is like THEE blueprint video that provides examples of how to structure tracks for TV placements. I mean, I know you still have to work, and make it sound "right", as opposed to just throwing stuff in there every 4 bars. But the overall basics, of what to do, is spot on.

I've got the business side of things taken care of, but never understood the edited version of what the music should actually sound like ( switching up every 4 bars). This is exactly the vid I was looking for, straight to the point, (listening to your music examples).

    Honest question. Do you feel proud/passionate/enthusiastic about the music you make for sync? Or is it more of feeling of "a job well done" sorta professional pride?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      GREAT question! I'd say it depends on the cue I do. Some I'm very proud and passionate about from a creative standpoint. Other times I'm more "professionally happy" with my music because it served a client's needs. Bottom line, it's a pretty complicated answer 🤪

    Nice music man.

  • @davejohnsonmusic
    @davejohnsonmusic ปีที่แล้ว

    Great tracks man. I appreciate your content. I'm writing mostly rock stuff. If I'm going to write an album of say, 10 songs to pitch, should I stick with one main drum kit, bass and rhythm guitar sound to keep all the pitched tracks consistent with the rhythm section? I'd obviously use some different guitar tones for any fills/leads and varying keys/synths for melodies, or textures. Basically, should the album you're going to pitch, have a similar sound and vibe across all the tracks, or mix it up?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually use the same drum samples for the entire album, but I'll switch up the guitar tones and amps every 3 or 4 tracks to ensure there's a variety of sonic appeal on the album. I wish you all the best!

    • @SyncMyMusic

    • @moetic6601

      Sync My Music i gotcha now splitting wise how much would I have to split or is it up to the producer? Usually some say when u make over a certain amount of money then u split i think but i will have to let the libraries know who produced the beat right?
