We generally pass judgemental remarks regarding major historical events thoughtlessly. But, it's interesting to see that people are doing P.H.D on even the minute events of History. This clearly shows that History is very Nuanced.
@@BHELISG-c5s its not a lack of wars that has made Afghanistan peaceful and it certainly isn't prosperous by any means, its a nation struggling to feed its desperate population. Pakistan deserves a democracy it deserves secularism so that its people can interpret the Quran for themselves instead of having someone else's interpretation forced onto them. Pakistan's women deserve the dignity to be treated like human beings instead of sex slaves and property like they are in Afghanistan
Remember Moududi was not in favour of creating Pakistan (like many other Muslim leaders like Maulana Azad who opined it would divide the Muslims of sub-continent). However upon Partition of India of he found himself caught in middle of worst of bloodshed in Indian Punjab city of Pathankot and so migrated over to Pakistan. Having little credibility (in a country that he opposed the creation of) he had to reinvent his relevance which he did by taking up taking up movement to declare Ahmediyas aa Non-Muslims and creation of Sharia state in Pakistan. With varied influences, Maududi was a self made man who inspite of being a modernist earlier on had to toe the Islamist line to maintain relevance in a new country.
