However, if you are in the midst of studying in college for a bachelor's degree then you can defer said military service up to when you are 27 years old. If however you completed 3 years of our equivalent of JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) in highschool then you are exempt from military service entirely, same goes for if you're currently employed in civil duties such as teachers or medical professionals.
