An October Day in the Garden

It's lovely here! We've gotten some genuine fall weather, before the cold. So, I've been taking the time to enjoy the garden while it lasts. I thought you guys might enjoy a trip through the garden to see some of the things that are making me smile.

Your garden is beautiful. Enjoy the nice weather while you have it Crazy weather these day, but we're ready for some rain here in CA. Usually by now we are burning wood fuel for heat, but it's been hot! I'm one of those who love Fall and Winter...Give me the cold and snow! But I'm not a gardener, not much success with plants other than geraniums...lol . My friends gave me young basil plants, babied them until they were ready to repot. Once repotted, I put outside on the patio for better sun only to discover the next day the deer ate my babies! .Now I'm nursing them back to health. We'll see...🤨

Thanks. I'm definitely taking the last few days to enjoy it as they've got our low down to 34 now! Hopefully the fall and winter weather will show up soon for you. Your poor basil plants! At least basil does well with a good pruning, so they should bounce back well.
