Hi Zane, glad I found you through VRA. I wish I'd have seen this video before last week. I just ordered a (lesser) monopod style mic stand, which I must say, is pretty good and solid for under $25 bucks, but now I've added this stand to my shopping list, because your idea of using it for mounting a camera sounds like it would work in my small filming space. Thanks. 👍

Thanks for checking out my channel. Yeah this is a very nice stand. I’ve been using it for lighting lately but I think I’m going to start using it for my dslr soon. It fits in spots that my desktop tripod can’t.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Keep creating! 👊👍

Awesome video. I have this, but I do have an issue, when using the 1/4" thread for the Rode Magnetic Phone mount or a few other things, when I tighten the piece of equipment it's always off alignment. Meaning not facing forward, do you have any suggestions for this? I always wish Rode made the head swivel avoid this issue.

That little circular part that’s on the stand right where you attach whatever it is you’re attaching, it turns and allows you to adjust how you tighten things to it. So you can bring it out more and this will change where your accessory’s connection is the tightest which changes its final alignment.
