To be honest I don't ship most of the fan ships of mdzs but I gotta admit, this is so much better than the Lan XiChen x Jin Guangyao ship. Like Lan XiChen deserves so much better than that lying deceitful villain. Although JGY was pitiful he was also merciless and killed his whole family and more (and as seen in the extras he was helping Xue Yang kill innocent people, even children). Also he's dead and Jiang Cheng is very much alive and in need of someone to love him! So I can understand this ship although they have barely any canon moments :(

Yes . I love this ship more than the others tbh . They are more realistic than xichen with guangyao or mingjue . I love these 2 honestly , they've been through a lot and deserve to be loved 😭

@@justfloating9787 I agree! Although JC and LXC don't really have any canon moments together, I feel like their personalities are compatible. JC can comfort LXC after his trauma from stabbing JGY and show him how to be honest with himself. And LXC can calm/tame JC's harsh and violent tendencies and show him how to forgive himself after learning about his golden core.
Honestly I don't think LXC pairs well romantically with either of his sworn brothers. Not to mention they're both dead, so like how does that work?? lol

After being betrayed by his close ones , xichen deserves someone who's blunt honest , like Jiang Cheng . Im sorry but sometimes even wangji tends to hide a few things from xichen , though he always ends up finding out automatically cuz he can read wangji so well . But it's high time someone who he doesn't have to read or ask at all , comes in his life . And Jiang Cheng too need someone who's calm , cool enough to handle his anger issues and committed enough to help him get rid of his trust issues and inferiority complex . Cuz , dudes got a lot of problems 😭 . They are so suitable for each other . But I heard somewhere that the author wants Jiang Cheng to be straight 😭😭😭😭😭😭. I-

@@justfloating9787 I completely agree with you! Their personalities and needs are very compatible, especially by the end of the book. Yes, the author stated that the WWX and LWJ are the only gay couple in the novel. So basically everyone else is straight. Which is fine, but that doesn't stop fans from shipping basically every possible permutation of characters hahah Even I like to let my imagination take over when it comes to characters like LXC and JC (although when I watch the drama I ship JC with WQ just because they frame it like that and JC never even talks to LXC; I guess it just depends on what you are reading/watching and how you perceive the characters; I think every fan has the right to come up with their own versions and postcanon ideas and nobody can judge since the only thing actually canon is the novel which is only WWX and LWJ).

MXTX even said that we can ship whatever we want like XiCheng, SongXiao etc etc. as long as we don't separate the main cp i.e WangXian or reversed their position. Also the reason there are not much other pairing is that it takes too much time to focus on only one couple...so first book SVSSS is only an exception to this rule...bingqiu and moshang being canon. From book 2 onwards there are no more other gay couples aside from wangxian and hualian in book 3 cause there's no time to develop other pairings so it will always be 1v1. But as the author said we are indeed free to ship anyone and headcanoned them as long as we don't separate main couples. Even CQL drama take this sort of route...kind of making Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng shippable when in og canon, these two don't have anything to do with each other at all and would also be considered a crack ship in the novel canon. So yes, XiCheng is free for us to ship if we so wanted to. They may not have much interaction but they would go well tgt. Afterall looking at those list of what Jiang Cheng wants for a cultivation partner, only LXC sort of fits the bill😂...thats why JC is blacklisted by all the female cultivators including the matchmaker.
Sorry for rambling, anyway long story short, XiCheng is indeed a potential headcanon couple and i totally get why ppl ship them❤️
