Since your dads don't allow it.. of course they're looking out for you and you should respect that. Maybe give it a read after you cross 18? The novel's pretty clean except for this one kissing scene, since most of the story is revolves around the plot. The more sexual scenes happen more toward the end (last few chapters(?)) and in the extras. Although I do agree about the "demonic" since it's dealing with the souls of people, but it's not like he's worshipping satan or doing any creepy ritual and stuff. Overall, I feel like the whole story itself is pg16 and you're 17, so you should be old enough to know what you're doing. But like other people here said, wait till you 18 I guess and just respect you parents. Or your can be like me and read it in secret. If you're interested, you can read the novel on exiled rebels. 😉
In my opinion, Wei Ying is so op in the animation. But in the Live Action, the producers didn’t give Xiao Zhan as much action scenes as Yibo had, even though Wei Ying was described as still powerful despite being in a weaker body. Though it’s also because of the budget and lack of resources to create those epic scenes that display Wei Ying’s abilities, it would have been great if they showed more of Wei Ying’s physical prowess as much as his spiritual power and intellect.

I forgot indirect kisses was a thing - around here drinking from the same bottle is more a sign of friendship and closeness, or else you just don't really care about germs. So culturally for me it read more as Lan Wangji loosening up a little, trusting Wei Wuxian and letting down his boundaries rather than something specifically romantic - the chasing game on the rooftop was more romantic to me. Interesting how different cultures read things isn't it!

IkR. A lot of crazy things happen when LZ is drunk 🤣 because his barriers are down and he’s a lot more open and WY tries not to take advantage of that but always fails lmao. In this scene in the book LZ actually ties WY with his gusu ribbon in front of all the juniors. WY tells them oh it’s just a game but the Gusu Lan juniors there know what the ribbon means and start blushing. Eventually back in the room WY tried to convince LZ to let him go and they end up running around with WY playing a game where he kisses LZ fingers. Eventually drunk LZ gets upset with the teasing and goes to sulk in a corner of the room. WY feels bad for teasing him and kisses him on the lips (after trying to resist the whole night) 🤣 drunk LZ gets so shy he just knocks himself out and doesn’t remember it the next morning

First thing is because wei ying is already alive here. The other one when he didn't burn joss paper and latern is because he is in denial about wei ying's death. This is also the reason why he went to the Burial Ground when he heard that Wei Ying died and found A-Yuan (Lan Shizui) there. So it's like a penance and because A-Yuan is the only thing left of Wei Ying.

Loved the book up until the end. In my opinion the writer held wwx's past too long and I never felt closure on it because it was literally resolved in the middle of the final action and it's their happily ever after a few chapters later. I was still feeling sorry for his late sister and her husband who also died, and his nephew and the brother to feel happy they got their happy ending. Honestly scum villain by the same author left me feeling the same. Beautiful to a point then it's just sad. I'm too scared to even finish heaven's official blessing and I saw that got an anime too.
But i guess u should read heavens official blessing though it was angst but u will not regret...And after reading both mdzs and tgcf i felt that for me still mdzs is more angst
heaven official blessing is different from the other two novels 'cause it has more plotwists and its chill most of the time. a beautiful love story i raccomend. It has some sad moments at time to time but its all worth it

IkR. A lot of crazy things happen when LZ is drunk 🤣 because his barriers are down and he’s a lot more open and WY tries not to take advantage of that but always fails lmao. In this scene in the book LZ actually ties WY with his gusu ribbon in front of all the juniors. WY tells them oh it’s just a game but the Gusu Lan juniors there know what the ribbon means and start blushing. Eventually back in the room WY tried to convince LZ to let him go and they end up running around with WY playing a game where he kisses LZ fingers. Eventually drunk LZ gets upset with the teasing and goes to sulk in a corner of the room. WY feels bad for teasing him and kisses him on the lips (after trying to resist the whole night) 🤣 drunk LZ gets so shy he just knocks himself out and doesn’t remember it the next morning

Loved the book up until the end. In my opinion the writer held wwx's past too long and I never felt closure on it because it was literally resolved in the middle of the final action and it's their happily ever after a few chapters later.
I was still feeling sorry for his late sister and her husband who also died, and his nephew and the brother to feel happy they got their happy ending. Honestly scum villain by the same author left me feeling the same. Beautiful to a point then it's just sad. I'm too scared to even finish heaven's official blessing and I saw that got an anime too.

heaven official blessing is different from the other two novels 'cause it has more plotwists and its chill most of the time. a beautiful love story i raccomend. It has some sad moments at time to time but its all worth it
