After parking their Airstream, the first thing the family does is hit up the Carolina Splash Water Park, featuring twisting water slides, sprays, a giant bucket, splash pad, and a lazy river. They brave the thrills of the steep slides and cool off with a swim in the pool.
Once they work up an appetite, they head over to the Lowcountry Landing Carolina Bistro for a bite to eat. Forget your standard camping food-this restaurant offers Southern-inspired cuisine and a variety of signature cocktails.
The following day, Siya is honored to be a judge in the annual Chili Chowder Cook Off. He gets to meet the cooks, judge the stews, and experience a variety of tastes, spices, smells, and textures. Our friends take a 20-minute shuttle to spend a dreamy afternoon on the beach, hunting for shark teeth and shells in the sand. It’s also dolphin season, so they keep a close watch on the waves in between swimming and suntanning.
