Proper DJ with the most fantastic ability to structure and mix a real journey of a set. Could listen to him for hours - in interviews, or playing or his productions. Not to mention a top human, who did life his way. So much respect for him, what a legacy he created and missed very much ❤️

Any mix that starts with Thrash's remix of Killing Joke shows the potential to be half decent. Andrew's Essential Mix 93 is something that holds up still, and shines gloriously. Picking some of the best music released around that era, and leading the way with deft masterful mixing, selections, and sequence. One of a kind, an actual hero, and was a bloody good chap with actual virtues, golden insights and observations, and of course the wry humour. Was a pleasure to have shared some laughs with him; actually crying with laughter at a comedy club.
Thanks for the remixes, productions, projects, bands, labels, parties, all-night voyages, spirit and integrity - his legacy is huge.
    RIP

Hey there Beer! Just read your comment on this epic cool mix - me and my dear late brother were regulars at Sabresonic, Happy Jax in London Bridge every Friday in 1993-94. I was fortunate enough to get a Andy Weatherall mixtape one night before the club closed it doors and I still play it to this day - such incredible glorious memories of meeting so many top people and seeing incredible deejays like Leftfield, David Holmes, Brendan Lynch, Dust Brothers (now Chemical Brothers) and Orbital spinning up a storm. And I was actually at that legendary club night in Wandsworth when the late great Andy Weatherall deejayed - it was the now defunct Club UK in 1994 and Sven Vath was also spinning that evening - what an incredible night and such happy and wonderful memories never ever to be forgotten! Cheers and keep on keeping on and much respect to the musical maverick and maestro Andy Weatherall.⭐️✌️😎🕺🏻🎶🎸💖

He used to DJ at my shitty little uni (Wolves) all the time, (93-96) can only assume out of charity..and they were the best times, just fun music. He'd take anything and make you dance to it. I just found this and now I will listen. What a great moment to be alive! I listened to this when it was on the radio being mixed live. About a week later we were at Sabresonic and I was getting into it, and I looked straight into the eyes of Bobby Gillespie. Man did we groove!

See now back in the day a set started chilled and ended up banging through varying genres of dance music..... not like it is now, 2 hours of minimal techno with not one track that stands out.
