Fyi its not their theme but the area's theme, its a swamp theme that would be played when you reached HR 100 in MHFrontier but yeah this theme was associated with em
I think the "Garon" type of monster is my favorite. I was introduced to them with Tobi and Odi in world, and then Luna in Sunbreak. I had no idea there were any others before them until I started looking into Frontier's list. While I wish the type had more numbers making it into more games, I also kinda like how, since there are so few of them, they feel like a rare, elite type of monster.
@@shadytriceratops Technically you're right, and Tobi in particular is definitely the furthest relation in the bunch, but all the others sharing the Garon name and have such similar fights I think implies they're at least fairly closely related.
@@OST1350 considering the first official fanged wyvern is zinogre in MHP3rd, which was late-2010, I think the classification didn't exist yet back when the orugarons were released in MHFO 6.0 (2009)
@@reggie9010I hate to respond to such an old comment, but I believe that Fanged Beasts and Fanged Wyverns are examples of convergent evolution, that is, two species or groups that aren't related yet have evolved with similar morphology and niches. This is because certain designs are very efficient for fulfilling their purpose (i.e., how bats and birds evolved identical body plans for flying, or how wolves and thylacines have evolved with almost identical body and head shapes, despite one being a placental and the other being a marsupial) Likely, fanged beasts like Orugaron and fanged wyverns such as Odogaron, Tobi-Kadachi, and Lunagaron came to develop the same features and body shapes despite coming from very different origins, likely because the slim quadrupedal canine-like body is faster and more agile than say a winged wyvern or a bipedal brute wyvern, so it's best suited for the niche they all fill.
me encantaria poder pelear contra esos dos... es una lastima que aunque consiga una pc decente no podria ni dando cuerpo y alma a ese juego, queda poco hasta que se cierren los servidores T-T
Actually there are one monsters from MHFrontier that existed in MHW, that is LAVASIOTH (first introduced in Frontier early season), in history of MH, there are only 2 monsters of frontier that made the way to main series, that is LAVASIOTH and HYPNOCATRICE and another intteresting thing, the ESPINAS (one of flagship monster of Frontier) almost included in Main series (Freedom Unite) but cancelled because the massive denial from Frontier player
I think capcom didn't include the fanged beast and flying beast (paolumu is more like a mammal I don't see anything that shows he's a reptile) because they wanted to keep all large monsters reptiles because of the "New World" and the fact of being a hidden continent just like King Kong of 2005 where the only mammal was Kong, it's just my opinion btw
Eeew gross. Your awesome vid shows the PWNage of these two, but seeing them in action makes me timid to get any version of MH aside from the Stateside versions
Goodbye you beauties...you plagued me with rage but you also had my favorite theme in all of MHFO
Would be amazing to have these two in Monster Hunter World, always wanted to fight them! Plus their theme is jut epic

odogaron is a subspecies of orugaron
@@LeondreWilsono0o No, it's a whole different species.
Odogaron is a Fanged Wyvern, the Orugarons are Fanged Beasts.
Yeah imagine them with better ai

Hope they come back in mhxxx

SAME!! I love all of the garons. Tobi was my favorite until Luna came along
I don't think these are in the same category cause they're fanged beasts while the others are fanged wyverns

Ooo maybe Odogaron is a distant relative of these two. Considering the similar names and body shape.
But these are fanged beasts and Odogaron is a fanged wyvern.
